Accommodation overview: Set on the shore of beautiful Dozmary Pool, a natural lake associated with the Arthurian legend as the final resting place of Excalibur, this recently converted, detached and double glazed granite barn is centrally located in the heart of Bodmin Moor which is within easy reach of both the north and south coast.

Situated within an SSSI, this is the perfect spot for walkers, birdwatchers and water enthusiasts just 10 metres from the waters edge. Approached by a narrow unmade lane and private drive that slopes down to a large gravel parking area, from here the fully glazed front door leads directly into an open plan living room with a slate tiled floor and furnished to a high standard.

The well equipped, modern fitted kitchen has a butler sink and a large pine dining table with bench seats, and an adjacent comfortable sitting area with a wood burning stove and windows overlooking the water. There is one ground floor bedroom with a kingsize bed, lovely views of the garden and beyond to the lake, and an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin.

In one corner of the lounge, an oak staircase leads up to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and two attractive bedrooms with twin beds, oak flooring and good views over the lake and the surrounding countryside. A first floor patio is reached via a glazed door off one of the twin bedrooms with granite steps leading down to the driveway, and at the front of the property, a walled and gated lawned garden and sheltered south facing terrace overlook the lake.

Toddlers and pets must be supervised as the banks of the lake are just a few feet beyond the garden wall. There is space to store bicycles and beach gear in a stone outbuilding. It is possible to launch canoes on Dozmary Pool, there is a natural right to roam on foot over much of the surrounding moorland and there are lovely cycle rides in all directions.

Jamaica Inn at Bolventor is 1.5 miles away, and the surrounding villages of Altarnun, Blisland, St Breward and St Cleer are all within 15 minutes by car and have a local shop and pub. The larger towns of Bodmin and Launceston are about a 20 minute drive respectively. Trout fishing and a watersports centre are available at Siblyback Lake nearby, and there are local stables offering horse riding.

The nearby promenade in Penzance stretches along the shoreline from the busy harbour around to the fishing village of Newlyn providing a lovely 1.5 mile level walk, and there are daily ferry services nearby operating to the Isles of Scilly.

Accommodation overview: A delightful converted detached, double glazed, stone and slate barn in a walled and gated gravel garden, quietly set in the small hamlet of Rose, just one and a half miles inland from the golden sandy beaches at Perranporth.

Ideally situated as a base from which to explore the coves and coastal footpaths of the North Coast, the property is entered down a quiet narrow unmade lane and a gate which opens to a wide gravel courtyard which has space for a car and small boat trailer.

The stable front door opens at one end of the barn to a smartly fitted kitchen area where there are hand made natural pine units with a granite worktop and quarry tiled floor, and an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. The remainder of the ground floor accommodation comprises a comfortable long carpeted living room with a rustic dining table and chairs, French Windows overlooking the courtyard, some exposed stonework and lounge seating facing the multi fuel stove.

A carpeted stairway leads directly up from the living room to the first floor landing and two bedrooms; an attractive master bedroom with a hand carved pine double bed and a hip shaped ceiling, and a small children's bedroom with twin 2ft 6in beds. There are thermostatically controlled electric wall radiators in every room.

Within the enclosed gravel courtyard attached to the far end of the barn, a gazebo has climbing plants and patio furniture set beneath, two neighbours have a right of way to the rear of their properties but this is seldom ever used.

The village of Goonhavern, 1 mile, has a pub and post office stores and the immediate area offers horse riding, coarse fishing, a golf club and of course the sandy surfing beach, shops and amenities in Perranporth all within a few minutes drive. Truro and Newquay are about a 15 minute drive respectively.

Accommodation overview: Only a short drive from the picturesque harbour villages at Mullion & Porthleven this detached cottage in its own private walled garden set on a fourteen acre smallholding with Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, Hens, Ducks and Geese grazing the neighbouring fields. Goosecott is a perfect base to explore the many beautiful beaches and coves on the Lizard peninsula and it is a perfect location for country lovers being close to Gweek at the head of the Helford River.

Approached down a pretty tarmac private drive and adjacent to the owners property, known locally as the colonial cottage is Goosecott, a detached farm cottage built on sloping ground with parking for 2 cars. A gate and seven steps lead to the front door opening into the entrance porch with a partial countryside views. An inner door leads directly into a rustic kitchen / breakfast Room having a neatly fitted kitchen to one side and a farmhouse table and chairs to the other.

Leading from the kitchen down a passageway there is a downstairs bathroom W.C with hand basin and shower over the bath. Another door from the breakfast room opens into a comfortable snug with cedar panelled walls and a wood burning stove with two armchairs from here the French doors open into the conservatory spanning the width of the property with a terracotta tile floor, wooden garden dining table and chairs and door to the garden. To complete the ground floor accommodation an inner hall gives access to a pleasant sitting room, which looks out onto the enclosed garden, with two sofas arranged before a wall mounted electric fire.

A steep carpeted staircase, with nine treads, leads to a landing dividing to the left and right with two further steps to the double bedroom on the right and two steps to the left giving access to a dressing room with W.C and hand basin and a twin bedroom. The garden is overlooked from all three upstairs rooms.

A small enclosed courtyard to the front with a path gives access to the rear garden with a small patio area. From the patio a single step allows access to the small lawn with raised flower bed and a path and gate leading to the private drive. The garden is enclosed by a Cornish hedge and stone wall.

The old Stannary Market town of Helston offering a selection of shops, pubs and a supermarket is 1.5 miles. The larger centres of Truro, Penzance, St Ives and Falmouth all within a 30 minute drive. The harbour side village of Porthleven with its sandy beach is only 4.5 miles. Praa Sands with its mile long golden sandy surf beach and Mullion golf course are both within easy reach as are the the glorious gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan.

The viewing area for the RNAS Culdrose is 1 mile away and offers an excellent opportunity to watch the daily activity of the aircraft based at the station with Flambards Theme Park a 5 minute drive.

Accommodation overview: This attractive comfortable and welcoming stone cottage is in the middle of the fishing village, about 75 yards from the harbour and adjacent to a millstream which runs through a neighbour's garden.

Entered by a stable door directly from the road, there is a beamed, newly fitted kitchen with a slate floor and pine dining area. The sitting room with a window seat set into a bay over the stream, has a stone fireplace with coal effect fire. At the rear of the cottage is a hall / cloaks area and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, shower over the bath and heated towel rail.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with two single beds, the other a double has an en-suite W.C. and basin. Slightly set apart from the cottage, a sunny patio garden at the rear has a bench seat, however pets will require supervision outside. The cottage is not suitable for toddlers. Although narrow cars may be unloaded outside, the village car park is at the top of the hill. The shops, inns and restaurants are all close at hand.

Bed linen is available at £10 per double & £5 per single to be paid on arrival. Towels are not available. A weekly parking ticket currently costs £28 in the council car park, or £18 in Trewetha Lane car park, a slightly longer walk.

The staircase curves up from the hallway, where there is a W.C. and hand basin, to a wide landing, a bathroom / W.C. with basin and four bedrooms.  The master bedroom has twin beds, there is a twin bedded room and one is double bedded, all three are spacious with showers and basins en suite and with lovely sea views. The fourth, adjacent to the bathroom, with substantial bunk beds has views over the farmyard.

There is a walled and gated lawn directly in front of the wing.

Approached from a gated parking area by a path and short flight of steps down through the sloping lawned garden edged by a trickling stream at one side. The glazed front door opens into a hall with coat pegs to one side. A step down leads into a wide sitting / dining room with a low beamed ceiling with views down over the village to the sea and a door to a railed terrace. A step up from the sitting room leads to a well fitted kitchen / breakfast room with a vinyl cushion floor and pine units.

Stairs go directly up from the sitting room to a landing on two levels, a bathroom / w.c. with hand basin and separate shower cubicle and to three bedrooms. These have a double bed, a 4ft double bed and a double and alternative single respectively.

The beach, pub and small shops are all within a few minutes walk. One pet is welcome but the garden is not totally secure for pets and toddlers will require supervision.

Accommodation overview: A peaceful recently renovated single storey barn conversion centrally located in the heart of Cornwall just 20 minutes from both the North and South Coasts offering an ideal touring base with easy access to explore the whole county.  Set to one side of the owners house nestling in the rural hamlet of Creegbrawse, this spacious detached cottage has been finished to a high standard, double glazed and centrally heated providing warm and cosy accommodation all year round. 

Entered from the driveway where there is space for one car, a gravel path and two steps lead up to the front door, which opens to a hallway with a marble tiled floor that continues throughout the property.  To one side, a door opens to a light and airy living room with countryside views from two sets of French Windows, comfortable lounge seating, a dining suite and a smartly fitted kitchen area in one corner. 

To complete the accommodation, leading off the entrance hall are a shower room W.C. with hand basin and an adjacent bright double bedroom.  From both the sitting and dining areas, patio doors and three steps lead down to a south facing enclosed wooden sun deck with lovely far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.  You can’t fail to notice that the railed sun deck is also home to one of Jack’s Cows; a unique multi-coloured life-size cow sculpture part of a herd that were auctioned to raise money for local charities.  The owner can provide storage space for bicycles and beach gear. 

The village of Chacewater, 1 mile, has a choice of three traditional pubs and a small selection of shops and for a wider selection of amenities, the cathedral city of Truro is 6 miles.  The nearest beaches on the north coast are Chapel Porth, Porthtowan and Portreath all 6 miles away and the famous resorts of Newquay and St Ives are just a 30 minute drive respectively. 

The maritime town of Falmouth has plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants plus a choice of sandy beaches approximately 9 miles away and there are watersports centres at both Stithians Lake and Mylor Harbour.  There is a golf course and riding stables close by and the Cornish Way Coast to Coast Cycle Trail is nearby with bicycle hire available from Bissoe Tramways.

Accommodation overview: Less than a five minute walk from the picturesque harbour with a thriving fishing community and shops this double glazed mews house is one of a small development recently converted from a fisherman’s net loft. Furnished to a high standard and arranged over four floors with a parking space and garage, it is an ideal position to explore Mevagissey, Charlestown and the beaches and gardens on the South coast.

From the parking space a front door opens at ground level directly into a long hallway with a laminate floor and access to the integral single garage with laundry facilities. There is a downstairs cloakroom with W.C and hand basin and a light day room/study with sliding patio doors to a small balcony overlooking a small stream and the adjacent village park.

A winding carpeted staircase leads to the first floor with a light and airy sitting room to the front with comfortable leather lounge seating. On the opposite side of the landing is a modern fully fitted kitchen with an expanding glass dining suite and French windows opening onto a small railed balcony overlooking the playing fields. 

The carpeted staircase continues to wind up to the second floor where two light and comfortable bedrooms can be found, a double to the front and a twin to the rear, with a fully tiled family bathroom W.C with hand basin and shower over the Jacuzzi bath. From the second floor the winding staircase continues to the master bedroom spanning the whole of the top floor with high vaulted ceilings. A dual aspect light space with a kingsize bed and fitted wardrobes to one side of the staircase and a comfortable two seater sofabed for alternative sleeping arrangements. To complete the accommodation is an en-suite shower room W.C with hand basin.

There is private parking for two cars one in an integral garage. Although the property does not have a garden the village playing fields are just 100 yards away.

Mevagissey has variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, many specialising in locally caught fish just 250 yards away. There are boat trips and a ferry to Fowey that leave from the harbour, and Portmellon, half a mile, has a sand and shingle beach. Mevagissey is on the South West Coast path and The Coast & Clay Cycle Trail. St Austell is only 8 miles offering a cinema, leisure centre, golf course and home to the famous St Austell Brewery.

The beaches at Porthpean and Gorran Haven on the South coast are both within 5 miles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached by footpath or a few minutes by car and the Eden project is a 30 minute drive.
