Accommodation overview: 'The Salcombe' (formerly the Salcombe Hotel), is situated in Fore Street, on a prominent site with long water frontage and centrally placed for all amenities. Magnificent views from all flats of the main anchorage, towards South Pool Creek and the beaches at East Portlemouth. Apartments within this attractive building offer central heating if required and use of communal gardens around the property, laundry room, parking for one car per flat, mooring on the pontoon for one dinghy (overall length including motor 5 metres and 2 metres maximum beam) and heated swimming pool available from the Spring Bank Holiday weekend until the end of September. Accommodation overview: Court Barton is situated in the village of Aveton Gifford adjacent to St. Andrews Church which dates from the 12th century. The 16th Century stone built owner's farmhouse looks down the valley to the Avon estuary and is set within some 8 acres of garden with a duck pond, fields and paddock, all of which is available for guests to enjoy. There are also a number of footpaths and bridle paths surrounding the property. The owners have two ponies (Twinkle and Mickey Mouse), as well as four ducks, a cockerel and several chickens (who lay lovely free range eggs!), and two friendly guinea pigs (Tuffers and Ginger). Aveton Gifford lies within the Avon Valley in the heart of the South Hams and is an ideal base to explore South Devon. The village boasts a friendly pub with restaurant and pool table. Bar meals are also offered and children are very welcome (www.the-fishermansrest.co.uk) Launching access for boats is available on the river Avon which meanders out to Bantham beach and the sea beyond. Behind the main farmhouse a 100 year old stone barn has been converted into Two very comfortable holiday cottages, The Old Stables, The Dairy.

Accommodation overview: Little Cotton Farmhouse is set in 3 acres of land in a beautiful tranquil location at the end of a country lane yet just 5 minutes drive from the famous naval town of Dartmouth. The Farmhouse and adjoining Barn have each been sinsitively reconstructed in recent years to provide a very high standard of accommodation whilst retaining many of the traditional features and characteristics of the original buildings.In spite of the rural location Little Cotton is easily accessible and close to local facilities - the 'Park and Ride' bus service into Dartmouth, as well as the town's Leisure Centre and largest supermarkets (Sainsburys and Lidl) are within a short walking distance. Little Cotton is an ideal retreat for families with a range of facilities available to keep children of all ages entertained. There is a large grass area for ball games with small child friendly goal posts, a 12' trampoline (with safety enclosure) and an activity fort with swings, climbing frame and slide will keep them busy for hours! Additionally there is an indoor play area with a multi-activity table (tennis/snooker, football etc), many board games, a wide selection of toys for all ages, books and colouring and various outdoor games (balls etc). There is even a large tub of spare wellies, just in case! Wii Games Stations are provided in both properties making it ideal accommodation for any time of the year (Christmas decorations are also provided). Whilst each of these areas can be seen from both properties there is also a picnic bench - with picnic crockery provided - from where parents can sit and watch their children.From the courtyard an opening leads through to a natural meadow and pretty pond, with picnic benches to sit and enjoy the wildlife. All areas are fenced for safety but young children must be supervised at all times.
