Accommodation overview: With glorious sea views over Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount, this delightful, double fronted former police house offers spacious freshly renovated accommodation, set to one side of the coastal road in the charming town of Marazion. This ancient market town, believed to be Britain’s oldest chartered town is steeped in history and is best known as the gateway to St Michaels Mount with an excellent safe sandy beach and a good base to explore West Cornwall.
The wide front door opens to an entrance lobby with coat pegs and an inner door leads into the large central hallway with oak flooring and an adjacent cloakroom W.C. with hand basin. To one side is a light and airy sitting/dining room in soft colourings with comfortable lounge seating arranged before the ornamental granite fireplace, rugs on the solid oak floor and a refectory dining table next to patio doors.
On the opposite side of the hall, a bright and sunny kitchen/breakfast room has views of the rear garden from French Windows and a spacious well equipped kitchen with beautiful oak fitted units and a natural stone tiled floor. A railed sun deck at the rear spans the width of the house and can be accessed from both the dining and breakfast rooms.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the hall to the first floor landing and three pleasantly furnished bedrooms; a dual aspect double bedroom with a 5ft bed enjoying panoramic views of the bay and two twin bedded rooms on the inland side of the house. To complete the first floor accommodation, one of the best sea views is obtained from the spacious bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and walk-in shower.
A second flight of stairs continues up to the top floor and the master bedroom with a 5ft double set under the eaves and stunning views of the sea, coastline and St Michaels Mount from a dormer window. From the south facing railed sun deck, perfect for breakfast alfresco, half a dozen steps lead down to a securely enclosed, lawned garden with a gate leading to the driveway where there is space for two cars.
All the town’s amenities are within a short stroll including a selection of local shops, pubs, galleries and eating places as well as the golden sandy beaches and cobbled causeway leading to St Michael's Mount at low tide. The RSPB marshes nearby attract birdwatchers and Penzance, 3 miles, has a railway station, good shopping centre and ferry services to the Isles of Scilly. Praa Sands golf club is just a short drive, there are riding stables nearby and the immediate area is also a popular destination for windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing.

Accommodation overview: Just a couple of minutes walk from the sheltered beach in the picturesque coastal village of Kingsand, this former 19th century meeting hall has been recently converted to a high standard retaining much of its old world charm and architectural features including a beautiful vaulted ceiling and the original mission bell hanging outside.
With inverted accommodation, the property is entered directly from the lane with the front door opening to an entrance lobby and ground floor hallway with original slate tiled floor and coat pegs on the wall. Leading off the hall are a cloakroom W.C. with hand basin, a separate shower room and three delightful bedrooms with natural wooden floorboards and vanity basins in each. There is a master bedroom with a double bed, a second smaller double bedroom, and the third room has two sets of 3ft metal framed bunk beds.
A carpeted staircase leads up to a lower landing and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, and half a dozen stairs continue up to the first floor and an attractive open-plan living room with a ceiling rising to the apex of the roof and oblique sea views towards Cawsand beach from a bay window.
There is a dining table with the original chapel chairs, comfortable settees are arranged before a wood burning stove, a full size harmonium is available for careful use, and in one corner, a couple of steps lead down to a neatly fitted bespoke kitchen with granite worktops and a slate tiled floor. To complete the accommodation, half a dozen narrow stairs lead up to a mezzanine floor with casual seating and views over the village rooftops to Cawsand fort.
It is possible to very briefly unload outside the property and parking is in the village car park 250 yards away. Visitor moorings for boats may be available by prior arrangement with the owner. The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand have a small selection of local shops, pubs and tea rooms all within a five minute walk and they each have a fairly sheltered beach with excellent fishing from the rocks.
The South West Coast Path offers splendid scenery to Rame Head and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and in the summer, a ferry operates from Cawsand Beach across the Sound to Plymouth. Sailing and boating are popular in the bay, there are several golf courses in the vicinity and Whitsand Bay, 2 miles, has a long stretch of sand and rocks, and there is diving at the HMS Scylla artificial reef. Arranged on one floor with one step at the entrance to the property, the front door leads straight into a spacious entrance hallway perfect for storing shoes and coats and houses the laundry facilities. To one side is a separate WC. A doorway leads into a light and spacious lounge/ kitchen/ dining area and the open plan design makes Valley View perfect for families and group gatherings. Large French windows open out onto a private patio with garden seating and gazebo.
There is a fully fitted modern kitchen, dining area and comfy lounge seating with electric living flame fire. To the rear of the lounge/kitchen/ diner, there are three separate bedrooms. One bedroom with king size bed (5ft) and en-suite shower room with WC. One double bedroom and one bedroom with two standard sized single beds. A separate bathroom with bath, handheld shower and WC completes the single storey accommodation.

Accommodation overview: French Windows to the front of the cottage lead directly into the open-plan ground floor with rustic board and beam ceiling, a slate floor and white painted stone walls.
To one side is a small neatly fitted galley kitchen with a ceramic two ring hob, combination microwave and a small oak dining suite. One step leads up beneath a timber archway to the seating area at the rear with period furniture, comfortable leather armchairs facing the wood burning stove and a window overlooking the sunny terraced area.
A narrow winding staircase leads up to the delightful bedroom with a canopied beam ceiling, rustic pine floorboards and a king-size bed. A skylight allows visitors to watch the stars at night. A small en-suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin and a bath with hand shower fitment completes the accommodation.
The owner regrets that only adults will be accepted because of the potential danger of the river.

Accommodation overview: A double fronted cottage of great character at the end of an attractive row of mixed thatched and slate roofed dwellings in the pretty rural hamlet of Bohortha, a few minutes walk from the sandy beach of Porthbeor almost at the tip of St Anthonys Head.
Entered through a small porch with coat pegs which leads into a little hallway wide, rather steep stairs ahead, the cottage has a light, low beamed sitting room on one side. On the other side a beamed kitchen dining room has fitted units and electric cooker.
Upstairs is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, heated towel rail and shower over the bath and two bedrooms with twin and a king size double bed respectively. The cottage is not ideal for toddlers. The area has lovely coastal and rural walks from the cottage and the foot ferry from Place (10 to 15 minutes walk) across to St Mawes runs every 20 minutes from April to October. From St Mawes, and again by foot ferry, it is possible to cross to Falmouth.
Tucked to one side of a large farmhouse the cottages are reached from an unmade track (where there is room to park) and a short path which leads to a wall and gate at the end of the row. There are open plan gardens to the front and service areas to the rear but each has its own spacious main garden reached by a few steps at the further end of the row about 75 yards away. Crotchet has a large lawn, drying area and lovely wide views of the countryside and sea beyond.
Porthbeor beach can be reached by footpath and a flight of steps; Towan beach about 3/4 mile down the lane has a National Trust car park and easy access by a sloping path.

Accommodation overview: Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, Bronn provides perfect accommodation for couples and provides luxuries including a private hot tub. There are six eco lodges situated within the The Eco village and Bronn forms just one of a pair. The property is arranged on one level and is accessed through a small gate via a slight incline from the parking area.
The main entrance opens into a large open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner which has been fully furnished with comfortable seating and wood burner. The compact dining area sits adjacent to the well equipped and modern fitted kitchen and the large French windows which provide light that floods throughout the room. Accommodation overview: Just five minutes drive from the Eden Project and the South West Coast Path at Charlestown, this newly refurbished quaint little cottage is set in the peaceful village of Tregrehan Mills opposite the local playing field with views to farmland beyond. Attached to the owners own granite house, the cottage is small but comfortable and benefits from double glazing and oil central heating, well situated and within easy reach by car of a number of attractive beaches and picturesque harbours.
The front door opens directly into a pleasantly light sitting/dining room with natural exposed stonework on one wall, a two seater settee, stove effect electric heater and small dining suite. At the rear, a glazed door leads into a bright, fully fitted kitchen with a door opening to a private and sheltered suntrap patio garden.
Carpeted stairs go up from the sitting room to a gallery bedroom with a double bed set under the sloping ceiling and views of the countryside. To complete the accommodation, there is an en-suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin, heated towel rail and hand shower fitment to the bath. The owner will provide a washing / drying service on request and there is off road parking for one car.
It is an easy walk to the Britannia Inn, half a mile, where they serve food and have a large pub garden, and there is a post office store in Bethel about one mile away. For a wider selection of amenities, St Austell, 2 miles, has a range of shops, pubs, supermarkets, a leisure centre and cinema. The Eden Project is a 30 minute walk or 5 minutes by car or alternatively there is a local bus service that operates from the village to the Eden Project, St Austell and Newquay.
The property is within a 10 minute drive of several beaches including Porthpean, Par Sands and Polkerris and there are various golf courses nearby, the nearest at Carlyon Bay, 2.5 miles. Lanhydrock House and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 20 minute drive, as are the harbour villages of Charlestown, Fowey and Mevagissey. Accommodation overview: A double-glazed barn conversion furnished to a very high standard, set in the pretty little village of Mithian only two miles from St Agnes on the dramatic North Coast and three miles from the popular seaside resort of Perranporth.
Entered through a gated paved driveway where there is ample room for parking, the front door opens to a lobby with an adjacent cloakroom W.C. and hand basin. An inner glazed door opens directly into the kitchen/dining room with smart fitted units and a solid ash dining table with bench seats. To the left, a hallway leads to a utility area, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and a ground floor twin bedroom with a window overlooking the small terrace and flower beds to the front of the property.
On the opposite side of the kitchen is an attractive sitting room with beams rising up to the high ceiling and comfortable furniture facing two sets of French Windows. At the rear, four steps lead up to a galleried lower landing and a bedroom with a 5ft double bed and an en-suite shower room W.C. and vanity basin, and at the other end a solid ash minstrel staircase continues up to a small gallery for use as an additional sitting/reading area. The village pub is just a two minute walk and the shops and Cathedral in Truro are a 15 minute drive. Accommodation overview: Only a five minute walk down the hill to the golden sandy beach at Praa Sands, this charming single-storey detached granite barn, converted from the old stables is set in the grounds of the former mediaeval great hall of Pengersick Castle nearby, now a private dwelling with the gardens and keep open to the public in the summer. Entered through a gated driveway shared with the owner, the gravel drive leads up to a parking area to one side of the property.
The front door opens into a small hallway and from there into a pleasant living room retaining many of the original Dovecots as features with stained wooden floorboards, beams rising up to the apex of the roof and limewashed natural stone walls. There is a smart fitted kitchen area in one corner with a slate tiled floor and cherry pine units, a rustic dining suite and a comfortable leather corner settee facing the wood burning stove.
Leading off the hallway are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower over the bath and two carpeted bedrooms with open ceilings and pine bedroom furniture. The master bedroom has a double bed with white painted stone walls and wooden hinged shutters on the window, and the second bedroom has a triple sleeper which comprises a double bed below and single bunk bed on top with integral access ladder and sprung mattresses.
There is a large level lawn adjacent to the property for the exclusive use of the visitors with a patio area in one corner and a shallow stream running along one boundary wall and a garage houses the laundry facilities. The pub, which offers good food, surf hire shop, beach cafe and family beach with safe bathing are all approx 1/2 a mile away and there is a village store/P.O. just a minutes walk.
Praa Sands has a 9 hole golf course, there are wonderful local walks taking in the NT headlands, and the beaches at Prussia Cove and Kenneggy Sands are within easy reach. Helston, and St Michael's Mount, are just over 6 miles, the picturesque harbour at Porthleven is under 5 miles, and St Ives is within a 30 minute drive.

Accommodation overview: A comfortable, detached, carefully converted stone barn, with inverted accommodation, to one side of an open gravelled courtyard shared with the owners own home. Approached by a narrow unmade lane in peaceful countryside just outside the village of Mount Hawke, the barn has its own sheltered and gated grassy garden with a swing and picnic table.
The wide stable door on the first floor which can be reached by steps or a gentle slope, opens into a spacious living room with a polished pine floor and a beamed ceiling open to the apex of the roof. It comprises a neat fitted kitchen area of limed oak, a pine dining area and comfortable seating. From the kitchen a door opens to a cloakroom with an adjacent W.C. and small hand basin.
Stairs lead down to a ground floor hallway where there are three bedrooms and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and separate shower cubicle. The two larger bedrooms, a double and one with adult bunks, both have French windows. The third bedroom, reached by two steps, has a single bed.
The beach at Porthtowan is within 1.5 miles by road or a steady half an hours walk by footpath, St Agnes is about three miles and Mount Hawke which has a few small shops and post office is about half a mile. There is easy access to the A30 for visits West to Penzance and St Ives and East to the Eden project.

Self catering accommodation in Pentewan sleeps 4.
Accommodation overview: Situated in a peaceful valley with views of Mevagissey Bay from the upstairs inverted accommodation, this semi detached double glazed barn conversion, built of local stone and slate, is set above the pretty little coastal village of Pentewan. The property was once a stable housing the ponies which pulled the cargo from the port to the railway station in St Austell back in the 1800’s when it was a thriving harbour although now just the dock basin remains of the old harbour.
The property is set at the end of a long steep narrow track (no mobile phone signal) that leads to a gravelled parking area with space for one car and the front door opens to an entrance hall with a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. There are two ground floor bedrooms, one on either side of the hallway with a double and twin beds respectively, both overlooking the banks of the wooded valley.
Carpeted stairs lead up to a galleried sitting room on the first floor with exposed beams rising to the apex and pine flooring. There is a small breakfast suite and comfortable lounge furniture enjoying views down the valley towards the sea from French Windows that open inwards with a Juliette balcony. To complete the accommodation, leading off to one side is a fully fitted kitchen with dining table and chairs.
At the far end of the lounge, patio doors open to external timber railed steps which lead down to the front of the property with a small slate paved terrace and a recently grassed area of lawn with restful views towards the coast; the garden is not enclosed and therefore not for adventurous toddlers or pets. A public bridleway passes directly in front of the property ideal for exercising dogs and it is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the village pub, safe sandy beach and the coastal footpath.
The Ship Inn, half a mile, is a small friendly pub across the road from the old disused harbour and there is a garage with a store/P.O. three quarters of a mile away. The working fishing village of Mevagissey is 2.5 miles by road where a seasonal ferry operates to Fowey and for a wide selection of amenities the town of St Austell is 4.5 miles. Watersports, diving and sailing are available locally, Pentewan Valley cycle hire is nearby, and for garden lovers the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Pine Lodge Gardens are all within a 15 minute drive. There is a bistro and restaurant at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park available to non-residents.
