Accommodation overview: A traditional cottage with estuary views set about halfway down the steep lane leading to the harbour in the quaint old seafaring village of Polruan looking across the water at Fowey.

The front door opens directly from the street and half a dozen steps lead straight up to a small lobby and a charming sitting room with comfortable seating, an electric fire and lovely views down to the bustling rivermouth. Also on this level are a bright and spacious dining room and a fitted kitchen with an old decorative Cornish Range and a small breakfast area.

In one corner of the dining room, a door opens to a rear hall and carpeted stairs lead up to a landing, a compact bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and three bedrooms, all with low doorways. The main bedroom has a king size bed and views down the lane to the boats in the harbour, there is a small double bedroom overlooking the patio garden and a cosy bunk bedroom looking across to the wooden sundeck.

A stable door opens from the hall to a rear courtyard which is shared with one other cottage and has access steps leading down to a gated passageway opening to the village lane. Also from the courtyard, a dozen steps lead up to a decking with a picnic table and views of the Fowey River, a terraced patio with a summer house looking over the harbour and estuary, and a useful garden W.C. Pets and young children will require supervision outside as there are low walls.

Parking is in the main village car park on St Saviours Hill about a 5 minute walk and there are two pubs, small shops and a tea room down on the quayside. The foot ferry runs frequently across the harbour to Fowey which has a wider selection of shops, pubs and restaurants or alternatively a car ferry operates from Bodinnick. The nearest beaches are at Lansallos and Lantic Bay about a 10 minute drive or Readymoney Cove on the Fowey side of the river, and the area has a wealth of historical and coastal walks.

The village car park is about 5 minutes walk. A weekly car park ticket currently costs £25. Towels are not available. There is a charge for both passenger and car ferries to and from Fowey.

Approached by a gated drive with two parking areas, the front door opens to a large entrance lobby with the original slate flagstones on the floor and an adjacent utility room with laundry facilities. The ground floor accommodation, furnished to a high standard, comprises a sitting room with comfortable seating, splendid views towards the sea from a low window seat and an archway leading to a snug room with a wood burning stove set in the hearth.

There is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a large rangemaster cooker and adjoining dining area with maple flooring and stunning views to the sea from full length sliding doors that open to the patio. From the kitchen, a hallway leads to a larder room and a downstairs bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath.

Stairs lead up from the hall to a landing where there are four bedrooms and a shower room W.C. with hand basin and wide shower cubicle. There are three twin bedded rooms, two with lovely views of the sea and one overlooking the village green. The fourth bedroom has a double bed and oblique views of the sea and coastline. There is ample space within the house for storage of golf equipment. The extensive garden that surrounds the property has a patio area with uninterrupted sea and coastal views and is contained by a low boundary wall; pets and small children will require supervision as it is not securely enclosed.

Tintagel
, three quarters of a mile, has a good variety of local shops, pubs and restaurants in addition to the famous ruins of a mediaeval castle and Merlins sea cave. The picturesque NT harbour at Boscastle and the sandy surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand are about a five minute drive respectively. There is also an abundance of local footpaths and glorious cliff walks in the immediate area. Two free membership cards to Bowood Park Golf Club near Camelford entitle the holders to free use of the golf course.

Conveniently situated with easy road access for visiting the wonderful beaches and attractions that the whole county has to offer, this fully insulated and double-glazed property offers a unique and peaceful haven for couples, set well back from the owner’s home. 

Approached from the parking area where there is space for one car, a gated path leads to a sheltered sitting out area which fronts Snuggledown with views over the 7 acre small holding containing alpacas and sheep.  From here, patio doors lead directly into a pleasantly furnished open-plan living room with carpeted flooring, timber clad walls and ceiling and windows overlooking the south facing garden

There is a comfortable leather settee and armchair facing a wall mounted electric living flame fire, a dining suite in the centre and a neatly fitted kitchen to one side incorporating a ceramic four ring hob and combination convection oven microwave and grill.  At the rear is a screened bedroom area with a 5ft king-size bed and ample fitted wardrobes and an adjacent shower room W.C. with hand basin, electric shower and heated towel rail. 

There are two oil filled electric radiators that provide enough warmth all year round and a private lawn has garden furniture where visitors can enjoy watching these curious animals up close in their enclosures.    There is also shared access to a freezer and tumble dryer in a garden shed (charged at cost).  The nearest village store/P.O is at St Day, 1 mile, and the nearest pub is in walking distance at Vogue ¾ mile away. 

For a wider selection of local shops and a supermarket, Redruth is 2 miles away and the cathedral city of Truro just 9 miles.  The North Coast beaches of Porthtowan and Portreath are 6 miles respectively yet the South Coast can also be reached in about 20 minutes where you will find the stunning beaches and maritime town of Falmouth

The picturesque resort of St Ives with the Tate Gallery is just 30 minutes by car and there are also a plenitude of golf courses, houses and gardens to visit.  The Mineral Tramway coast-to-coast cycle trail from Portreath to Devoran is within easy reach, as is Tehidy Country ParkGwennap Pit is also less than half a mile where John Wesley once preached over 200 years ago.

Accommodation overview: Primrose Cottage forms part of a small family run complex of properties surrounded by 11 acres of grounds and accessed via a private tree lined driveway. Extensive sea views of Bude and Widemouth Bay can be seen from the property, and can easily be reached within a 15 minute drive. The grounds provide an array of entertainment, including an outdoor swimming pool, playground and climbing frame, a table tennis barn, a large field for sports plus a wonderful small herd of alpacas which can be visited along with the rabbits and guinea pigs. 
 
The property itself is a spacious two storey mid terraced stone and cob built cottage, forming part of an original 18th century granary. On entering the property, a light and airy corridor will lead you straight down to two spacious downstairs twin bedrooms with standard sized twin beds, one on either side of the corridor plus a downstairs bathroom with shower over and WC. From here, a carpeted staircase leads to the first floor with a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and diner. A further double bedroom is accessed on the first floor by a doorway from the lounge area.

The complex of properties are located in a quiet location and when entering the site, private parking can be found in front of the cottage, along with a picturesque garden seating area. A communal area is nearby and provides a coin operated washing machine and tumble dyer as well as tourist information for Cornwall. Just a stone’s throw away is the wonderful outdoor swimming pool which sits alongside the owner’s property, as well as a small herd of alpacas. The children are welcome to assist the owner at feeding times.

The seaside town of Bude provides a wonderful day out for all the family. With its long sandy beaches, selection of shops and restaurants. A scenic canal footpath is fantastic for walks or cycling and the nearby beach at Widemouth Bay is famous for its surfing. Slightly further afield are the picturesque villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly, all worth a visit and easily accessible within a 35 minute drive.

At the far end of the hall, a couple of steps lead up to an attractive open plan large living area, with casual comfy seating amidst a nautical themed decor, and a small fitted kitchen/diner.

From the kitchen a rear door and a few steps lead down to a wonderful little sun terrace with lovely clear views of the harbour and sea, through a gated alleyway between the cottages providing a handy short cut to the harbour front.

It is possible to unload outside the property but parking is in the car park 25 yards away. All of the local village stores and shops are 2 minutes walk, Penzance with a wider range of amenities and a mainline railway station is 3 miles, as are the sandy beaches of Long Rock and Marazion.

Accommodation overview: Just a ten minute walk down the hill to the tiny granite harbour at Lamorna Cove, this detached, sympathetically converted artist’s studio stands to one side of the country lane in the picturesque wooded Lamorna Valley

Recently renovated with double glazing and centrally heated to provide warm and cosy accommodation all year round, it is a haven for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts only half a mile from the beautiful cliff path and rugged coastline. 

A short sloping path and one step leads up to the stable front door which opens directly into a delightful, split level living room with a hip shaped ceiling and soft décor.  There is a fully fitted smart kitchen with a quarry tiled floor and small dining suite, and two steps lead up to the comfortable sitting area with a rug on the laminate wood floor and a leather settee facing the electric coal effect stove

In one corner of the lounge, a door opens to the double bedroom with a fully tiled en-suite wet room W.C. with hand basin and walk-in shower area.  There is space for one car on the gravelled parking area adjacent to the property and also a small decked terrace with picnic table overlooking the lush valley with the sounds of a running stream.  Pets will require supervision outside. 

Formerly the studio of Denys Law, he was a painter, woodcarver and copper worker recognised by the Lamorna Society.  The Wink pub and The Cove Cornwall for restaurant dining open to non-residents are both just a couple of minutes walk away, and a leisurely 10 minute stroll down the hill leads to the cove where there is a small sandy beach at low tide adjacent to the harbour and a seasonal gift shop/beach café open until 8.30pm in season. 

Visitors to Nantewas Studio also receive a parking permit for the harbour car park where dinghies can be launched and trailer parking is available on request.  St Buryan, 3 miles, has a church, village store/P.O., pub and garage, and for a wider selection of amenities, the seaside town of Penzance is about a 15 minute drive with a ferry service to the Isles of Scilly

There are stunning cliff walks nearby both east and west, particularly the ten mile stretch from Lamorna to Lands End with numerous ancient sites to explore.  Mousehole, Newlyn, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, Sennen Cove and St Ives are all within easy reach.

Set at the end of a long farm drive, which leads up from a quiet country lane to the Hay Barn, the owners home and the existing working pasture farm is to one side.

From the parking area, a couple of steps lead up through the patio garden with stone chippings and flower borders to the stable front door which opens into the ground floor hallway. Downstairs there are a shower room W.C. with hand basin, a family bedroom with a double and single bed and a master bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and French Windows overlooking the original farmyard.

Wooden stairs lead up to the centre of an attractive open-plan living room comprising the whole of the upper floor with windows on two sides giving views of the surrounding countryside. With a light and airy décor, there is a comfortable sitting area with a wood burning stove and a stable door in one corner. At the opposite end of the large living room bisected by the stairwell, there is a modern kitchen area with oak fitted units, a ceramic tiled floor and a farmhouse style dining table and chairs. To one side of the parking area, there is a small level lawn for the sole use of the visitors.

Wadebridge, 2 miles, has a good selection of shops, restaurants, a cinema and a sports centre with swimming pool, and there is also a supermarket within a 5 minute drive. There are several village pubs offering food within a short drive, as are a good variety of beaches, golf courses and watersport activities. The area has good rural walks, riding stables and cycle trails including the popular Camel Trail, bicycle hire is available in both Padstow and Wadebridge.

Accommodation overview: With glorious sea views over Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount, this delightful, double fronted former police house offers spacious freshly renovated accommodation, set to one side of the coastal road in the charming town of Marazion.  This ancient market town, believed to be Britain’s oldest chartered town is steeped in history and is best known as the gateway to St Michaels Mount with an excellent safe sandy beach and a good base to explore West Cornwall.

The wide front door opens to an entrance lobby with coat pegs and an inner door leads into the large central hallway with oak flooring and an adjacent cloakroom W.C. with hand basin.  To one side is a light and airy sitting/dining room in soft colourings with comfortable lounge seating arranged before the ornamental granite fireplace, rugs on the solid oak floor and a refectory dining table next to patio doors

On the opposite side of the hall, a bright and sunny kitchen/breakfast room has views of the rear garden from French Windows and a spacious well equipped kitchen with beautiful oak fitted units and a natural stone tiled floor.  A railed sun deck at the rear spans the width of the house and can be accessed from both the dining and breakfast rooms.

A second flight of stairs continues up to the top floor and the master bedroom with a 5ft double set under the eaves and stunning views of the sea, coastline and St Michaels Mount from a dormer window.  From the south facing railed sun deck, perfect for breakfast alfresco, half a dozen steps lead down to a securely enclosed, lawned garden with a gate leading to the driveway where there is space for two cars

All the town’s amenities are within a short stroll including a selection of local shops, pubs, galleries and eating places as well as the golden sandy beaches and cobbled causeway leading to St Michael's Mount at low tide.  The RSPB marshes nearby attract birdwatchers and Penzance, 3 miles, has a railway station, good shopping centre and ferry services to the Isles of ScillyPraa Sands golf club is just a short drive, there are riding stables nearby and the immediate area is also a popular destination for windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing.
