Accommodation overview: Seasteps is a spacious waterside town house built overlooking the beautiful River Fowey and its busy harbour. The accommodation is arranged on four floors and the house is situated in close proximity to all local amenities. At street level there is a fully fitted kitchen, a dining room with a bay window overlooking the water and a comfortable sitting room with fine river views

The sitting room has a railed balcony with access through wide patio doors which enjoys the sun for much of the day.  From the hallway stairs run down to the lower ground floor to a twin bedded room, a shower room with WC and a utility room. From here access is made to the outside. A flight of steps leads to a narrow walled garden, from the end of which double doors lead onto a platform and steps to the river and foreshore.

Two further bedrooms
and a bathroom WC with shower over the bath are located on the first floor. One is the master bedroom with a king size bed which again directly overlooks the water. The other on the street side has twin beds. On the second floor is a long loft bedroom with four single beds and river views to front and side.

The recommended car park is a pay and display 400 yards away, beyond the Bodinnick car ferry. Fowey is a charming small town with shops, independent restaurants, pubs and galleries. There is a sheltered beach at Readymoney cove reached by a walk of about 15 minutes through the town. There are lovely creek walks and the possibility of taking a fishing trip hiring a kayak to explore the water or visiting Polruan or Mevagissey by ferry.  The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive away, as are many other beaches and National Trust properties.

Accommodation overview: Less than a mile from the South West Coast Path and the dramatic headland at Cape Cornwall, this mid nineteenth century end of terrace granite cottage is ideally situated for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and surfers, tucked away in a quiet terrace on the outskirts of St Just.

Offering warm and cosy accommodation all year round, the property is entered through a fenced and gated garden with the front door opening directly into a traditionally furnished living room with a board and beam ceiling and white washed stonewalls. There is lounge seating on one side facing the open fire, and a dining suite on the opposite side with some of the original wall niches, both with windows overlooking the front lawn, and an open doorway at the rear of the cottage leads to a newly fitted kitchen.

A rather steep cottage staircase leads up from the living room to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and three bedrooms. There is a double bedroom and single bedroom at the front with sea views on the horizon and in an extension at the rear, a couple of steps lead up to the third narrow bedroom with a single bed and a window overlooking the village cricket ground. There are electric convector heaters in all bedrooms.

The front garden is fully enclosed with a level lawn and mature shrubs, and there is off street parking for two cars. St Just has a good selection of small shops, pubs and restaurants within a 10 minute walk and the village is on a bus route to Penzance which has a wider range of amenities, a railway station and ferry services to the Isles of Scilly.

Cape Cornwall Country Club, half a mile away, has an 18-hole golf course, restaurant and swimming pool. From the cottage, several footpaths lead across farmland and NT moorland down to the coast via the beautiful wooded Kenidjack Valley and the birdwatchers paradise of Cot Valley. Dogs are currently allowed on the small pebble beaches at Cape Cornwall, ¾ mile, and Cot Valley, 1.5 miles, and the sandy surfing beach at Sennen is only 5 miles by road.  See www.grannyscottagecornwall.co.uk for more details.

Accommodation overview: Just over 500 yards from the stunning South West Coast path giving access to the popular beaches at Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth nearby, this beautifully presented attached cottage in an extension to the 200 year old main house and is a perfect location to explore the North Cornish Coast with its well known restaurants and fishing harbours.

Fronted by a shared brick paved drive with parking for one car directly outside the cottage,  a gated side path leads round to the enclosed courtyard garden at the rear. Double glazed French doors with a step up opens into a bright and well finished living room comprising the whole of the ground floor with solid wood flooring. There is a modern well fitted galley kitchen, L shaped corner sofa in front of the wall mounted electric fire and a glass topped dining table and chairs in front of the window.

In one corner a carpeted staircase leads up to the landing on the first floor with two bright and comfortable bedrooms; a kingsize with digital TV and a single bedroom at the rear. To complete the accommodation is a fully tiled shower room with W.C, hand basin and double sized shower cubicle.
  
Crab Cottage has an enclosed rear courtyard garden with a garden shed perfect for storage of beach gear and bikes. A timber gate leads to an unmade lane from which you can access the South West Coast Path and walk to the pub in the hamlet less than 5 minutes away with a farm shop and bistro only a 2 minute drive.

Mawgan Porth only a 5 minute drive has a pub, café, surf hire and local store and for wider shopping facilities the resort of Newquay is 5 miles with access to the beaches at Fistral, Pentire and Crantock. Jamie Olivers Fifteen is only 1 mile away at Watergate Bay and Rick Steins café and restaurant is 9 miles at the famous harbour of Padstow where you can also cycle the camel trail to Wadebridge. The South West Coast path located a short walk from the cottage gives access to Mawgan Porth and Bedruthan Steps to the north and Watergate Bay and Newquay Bay to the south. The Elizabethian houses of Trerice and Prideaux Place are 6 and 9 miles respectively and the The Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lanhydrock house are all less than an hour by car.

Accommodation overview: With lovely views down over the fields to the sea and just one mile inland from the picturesque coastal village of Downderry, this sensitively converted early 19th century detached stone barn stands in a peaceful rural setting to one side of the owners farmhouse.  Offering spacious family accommodation the property is just a 5 minute drive to the sand and shingle beach at Downderry with rock pools at low tide. 

A short level path leads to the front door, set beneath an open porch roof, which opens to a small lobby and half a dozen steps lead straight up to an open-plan living room with beams rising to the apex of the roof and a light and airy decor.  There is a comfortable seating area with two futon sofa beds for alternative sleeping arrangements; a dining suite is arranged in the middle of the room and a well equipped, modern fitted kitchen

French Windows from the lounge open to a raised decking area with timber railings, patio furniture and tranquil views over the surrounding countryside to the coast beyond.  In one corner of the living room, an inner hallway gives access to two pleasantly furnished bedrooms; a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin and a twin bedded room. A bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath completes the accommodation. 

The barn is fronted by a large sheltered courtyard ideal for children’s outdoor games and there is a hardcore parking area for 2 cars.  Visitors are welcome to pick their own vegetables from the owner’s one acre of vegetable garden nearby and may also mindfully explore the surrounding fields.  The owner also offers a taxi service to and from the local villages and bed and breakfast accommodation is available in the adjacent farmhouse. 

All the village amenities are just a 5 minute drive including a local shop/post office, cafe, restaurant and pub with carvery.  For walkers, the coastal footpath leads to Looe westwards and east to Whitsand Bay, and there are wooded walks inland through the Seaton Valley Countryside Park. Looe, 8 miles, offers pleasure boat and fishing trips, there is diving at the HMS Scylla artificial reef and there are several golf courses and gardens in the immediate area to explore including St Mellion, Whitsand Bay and LanhydrockPlymouth is half an hour by car and The Eden Project is a 40 minute drive.

Accommodation overview: An attractive mid-terrace granite cottage set high above the pretty fishing village of Mousehole, with panoramic views across Mounts Bay and only a short walk downhill to the small harbour and beach.

Entered from a rather steep pedestrian lane, a couple of steps lead up to the front porch and an inner door opens directly into a comfortably furnished sitting room with a board and beam ceiling, a light crisp decor and sea views over the village roof tops looking across to the Lizard. Two steps at the rear of the sitting room lead up to a dining area which has the benefit of views through a hatchway in the wall, and a neatly fitted kitchen with a stable door opening to a small service yard.

Carpeted stairs go up to a tiny landing which has doors to a pine furnished double bedroom with stunning views over the garden looking down to the harbour and far out to sea and to a bathroom W.C. with wash basin and electric shower over the bath. To complete the accommodation, a door leads off the bathroom to a second bedroom with sturdy bunk beds which are 5ft 9inch in length and windows overlooking the wooded hillside at the rear.

On the opposite side of the footpath, at the front of the cottage, half a dozen gated steps lead down to a delightful sheltered garden with a patio and sundeck, a small decorative pond and a sloping lawn with partial sea views.

Although the cottage is set away from the busy harbour front, all the village amenities are still within easy walking distance as is the coastal footpath with lovely scenery leading round to Lamorna Valley. Penzance, 3 miles, has a rail and bus terminus and offers trips by boat to the Isles of Scilly. The safe beaches of Mounts Bay are a 10 minute drive.

Stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor and an attractive landing/snug area with casual seating ideal for reading or as a children's play room and to one side a door opens to the third bedroom with two 3ft single beds tucked under the eaves with some exposed low beams.

The owners provide free charcoal/firelighters for the barbecue and can arrange for scallops, lobster, crab, fish (all weather and season dependent) to be delivered from local fishermen.

Accommodation overview: Enjoying wonderful harbour and sea views from most windows, this grade II listed 18th century former fishermans cottage is located in The Warren, a quintessentially Cornish traffic free area, offering light and airy accommodation on three floors. 

Set right in the heart of the pretty village of Polperro with a picturesque harbour and the South West Coast Path on the doorstep, this quaint cottage is ideally situated only a few paces from the quayside and is entered from the narrow pedestrian lane. 

Three steep steps lead up to the stable front door which opens directly into a spacious beamed kitchen/diner with an attractive run of pine kitchen units, a rustic dining suite and fine views of the fishing boats in the harbour from both a cushioned window seat and the stable door. 

From the kitchen, a carpeted staircase leads up to a lovely beamed sitting room with comfortable lounge seating and two sunny window seats overlooking the active fishing harbour below.  To complete the first floor accommodation there is a fully tiled shower room W.C. with hand basin at the rear. 

In one corner, a further staircase continues up to the top floor landing and two cosy bedrooms with hip shaped ceilings, some of the original 300 year old exposed beams and a double and twin beds respectively.  The former enjoys a bird’s eye view across the harbour towards the original net houses and Peak Rock, Polperro’s iconic rock and far out to sea. 

Although the cottage has no garden, the front steps provide an excellent vantage point to sit and enjoy the sun and there are also plenty of places to sit around the quay and watch the boats entering and leaving the harbour.  There is one reserved parking space in a private garage just under half a mile away and approximately a 10 minute walk - there is no vehicle access to the property however a luggage taxi service is available. 

Formerly the birthplace of Jonathan Couch a distinguished local historian, details can be found in the Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing nearby.  The many cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries and local shops are close at hand as is Polperro Model Village and Land of Legend.  Seasonal pleasure boat trips depart from the harbour, and the coastal footpath offers fine walks eastwards to Talland Bay & Looe, and westbound to Lansallos & Polruan

There is a small sandy beach that sits outside the harbour walls and is accessible during low tide, and further beaches can be found along the coast at Talland, Lantivet and Lantic BaysLooe is 4 miles by road and Fowey 7 miles via the Bodinnick ferry.  This property can be rented with next door but one Ten Steps for larger parties.

Approached from the large shared parking area a dozen railed steps lead up to a small sun terrace and the front door which opens to a lobby and a wide central hallway. The accommodation comprises a bright living/dining room with an electric log effect fire and huge picture windows to fully appreciate the waterside position, a modern fitted kitchen with a useful breakfast bar and stools, a newly refurbished bathroom W.C. with vanity basin, bidet and bath with hand shower fitment and an adjoining utility storage area.

There are three bedrooms, a master double with a 5ft bed enjoying lovely views of the creek, a twin bedded room with a newly refurbished ensuite W.C. hand basin and large walk-in enclosure with a shower, and a spacious room with a 4ft 6in double bed and a nice easy chair next to the window overlooking the water. On the opposite side of the lane a gate opens to a small secluded garden which leads down to the waters edge with a flight of unrailed steps down to the actual foreshore (young children will require supervision).

It is possible to launch canoes and small dinghies from here subject to the tide and the owners may require occasional access to their boat mooring. A pleasant walk along the creekside leads to Devoran where there is the Old Quay Inn or a 3 minute drive in the opposite direction is the old thatched pub, The Punchbowl and Ladle. The National Trust gardens at Trelissick and the watersports centre at Loe Beach are within easy reach as is the King Harry Ferry for access to the beaches on the Roseland Peninsula.

Cycles can be hired for the Mineral Tramways Path to the north coast harbour of Portreath and local shops and post offices are a 5 minutes drive. With Truro only a few miles in one direction and Falmouth and Mylor in the other, Sunnyside is conveniently situated for beaches, boating and shopping.

Accommodation overview: A delightful converted detached, double glazed, stone and slate barn in a walled and gated gravel garden, quietly set in the small hamlet of Rose, just one and a half miles inland from the golden sandy beaches at Perranporth.

Ideally situated as a base from which to explore the coves and coastal footpaths of the North Coast, the property is entered down a quiet narrow unmade lane and a gate which opens to a wide gravel courtyard which has space for a car and small boat trailer.

The stable front door opens at one end of the barn to a smartly fitted kitchen area where there are hand made natural pine units with a granite worktop and quarry tiled floor, and an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. The remainder of the ground floor accommodation comprises a comfortable long carpeted living room with a rustic dining table and chairs, French Windows overlooking the courtyard, some exposed stonework and lounge seating facing the multi fuel stove.

A carpeted stairway leads directly up from the living room to the first floor landing and two bedrooms; an attractive master bedroom with a hand carved pine double bed and a hip shaped ceiling, and a small children's bedroom with twin 2ft 6in beds. There are thermostatically controlled electric wall radiators in every room.

Within the enclosed gravel courtyard attached to the far end of the barn, a gazebo has climbing plants and patio furniture set beneath, two neighbours have a right of way to the rear of their properties but this is seldom ever used.

The village of Goonhavern, 1 mile, has a pub and post office stores and the immediate area offers horse riding, coarse fishing, a golf club and of course the sandy surfing beach, shops and amenities in Perranporth all within a few minutes drive. Truro and Newquay are about a 15 minute drive respectively.

Accommodation overview: A semi detached double glazed bungalow looking over grassy sand dunes to Crantock beach and out to sea. An ideal situation for the beach going family since the bungalow is relatively secluded in sheltered gardens yet the beach with its wide expanse of sand and good surfing can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Approached by a gated private drive from the beach car park with parking for two cars there is a short path to a glazed porch area which opens into a hall with coat pegs and an adjacent W.C. with hand basin. There is a kitchen with an adjoining utility room which leads out to the garden.

A comfortable sitting / dining room with pleasant sea views from a bay window leads through to a small hallway with a shower room W.C. and basin and two of the three bedrooms, a double bedded room and a room with two 2ft 6inch beds, both rooms with hand basins. The third bedroom with twin beds is next to the W.C. near the entrance hall.

Parts of the garden are hedged and gated and at the time of writing dogs are permitted on Crantock beach.
