Tucked away
in a quiet corner facing a pleasant stone flagged sunny courtyard, Honeycomb is ideally situated in secure grounds set back from the main street, yet it is within a five minute walk of the dramatic South West Coast Path and only a short drive from the wonderful surfing beaches of North Cornwall

The front door opens from the central courtyard directly into a charming and spacious sitting room with comfortable lounge furniture and a warm rug on the slate flagstones.  To one side an inner door leads through to a country style kitchen with pine fitted units, slate floor and a pine dining suite in the centre of the room, and from here, a stable door opens to a small sheltered patio area with rockery. 

A carpeted staircase leads up in one corner of the lounge to the first floor landing, a family bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and three attractive bedrooms with natural wooden floorboards.  There is a master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room W.C. and hand basin, a smaller double bedroom and a twin bedded room.  A large gravelled car park at the rear has ample parking space for one car per property. 

The village itself offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants and inns and Tintagel Castle famous for its myths and legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table is within easy walking distance.  The sandy beaches of Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney Cove, Polzeath and Daymer Bay are a short drive away as are the picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac

There are also spectacular coastal and moorland walks, coarse fishing, golf club and sports centre nearby.  BT Openzone is available in Tintagel – vouchers can be purchased online.

An ideal situation for the beach going family since the bungalow is relatively secluded in sheltered gardens yet the beach with its wide expanse of sand and good surfing can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Approached by a gated private drive from the beach car park with parking for two cars there is a short path to a glazed porch area which opens into a hall with coat pegs and an adjacent W.C. with hand basin. There is a kitchen with an adjoining utility room which leads out to the garden.

A comfortable sitting / dining room with pleasant sea views from a bay window leads through to a small hallway with a shower room W.C. and basin and two of the three bedrooms, a double bedded room and a room with two 2ft 6inch beds, both rooms with hand basins. The third bedroom with twin beds is next to the W.C. near the entrance hall.

Parts of the garden are hedged and gated and at the time of writing dogs are permitted on Crantock beach.

A large informal grassy garden surrounds the property, and from here, a gate in the garden wall opens directly onto a fairly steep cliff path which leads down to the lovely sandy and surfing beach of Whitesand Bay and the stunning South West Coast Path. 

The door from the landward side opens first into a lobby with an adjacent cloakroom W.C. and from there into a useful utility / storage area.  Beyond the fitted kitchen is a comfortably furnished sitting / dining room with a log burning stove and a wide archway leads into the double glazed conservatory with glorious views of the sea and coastline from huge picture windows. 

There are two ground floor bedrooms, one with twin beds, the other with two 3ft zip linked beds, a bathroom with hand basin and shower over the bath and a separate W.C.  From the kitchen, a rather steep staircase leads up to a further twin bedded room with a vanity basin and a birds eye view across Whitesand Bay. 

The lovely sandy beach can be reached by car in under five minutes or a fifteen minute walk down the hill by cliff path and the villages of Sennen and Sennen Cove, approximately 1 mile by road, have a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. 

Pleasure flights are available from the Lands End Airstrip nearby, there is a golf and country club at Cape Cornwall and some spectacular scenery from the South West Coast Path.  The open air Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is within easy reach, as is the seaside town of Penzance.

Accommodation overview: Midway between Truro and St Austell in the ancient township of Grampound, this delightful Grade II listed renovated character cottage retaining much of its charm is in an ideal position to explore the bustling harbour of Mevagissey only a ten minute drive away and with easy access to the cathedral city of Truro.

Set a short distance down a quaint ungated pedestrian alleyway, a stable door opens directly to a spacious open plan living room with oak veneer laminate floor and painted exposed beams. There is a country style modern kitchen with a rustic dining suite and sitting area with comfortable lounge seating arranged next to the wood burning stove with a warm rug.

At the rear an arch leads through to the utility room with laundry facilities, coat pegs, storage cupboard and stable door to the small patio outside. In one corner of the lounge a narrow carpeted staircase winds up to the light first floor landing off which are two comfortable bedrooms; a double with a king size bed and two steps down to a twin bedded room. To complete the first floor accommodation is a well presented shower room W.C. with hand basin.

The small enclosed courtyard garden can be accessed through a gate from the pedestrian alleyway or through the stable door from the utility room with bistro table and chairs on the wooden decking. There are two allocated parking spaces in the Dolphin Inn car park nearby.  

Within a 5 minute walk the village has a dog friendly pub, church, playground and restaurant with a bus service to St Austell and Truro. The nearest local store/post office is in Grampound Road 2.5 miles, for a wider selection of amenities St Austell is only 6 miles offering a cinema, leisure centre, golf course and home to the famous St Austell Brewery.

The Cathedrial City of Truro is only 9 miles and there are many walks in the area with the gardens of Trewithen, Trelissick, Heligan and The Eden Project are all within 10 miles. The beaches at Porthpean, Gorran Haven and Portholland on the South coast are all within 10 miles and the beaches around Newquay on the North coast are within 15 miles. Fishing and pleasure boat trips operate from the harbour in Mevagissey.

Two or three slate steps lead down to French windows and continue down to a grassy fenced garden with views over the farmland to the sea, and a gate which gives access to the pathway leading to the paddock.

Offering a tranquil retreat for visitors wishing to get away from it all, yet only a 25 minute drive from the magnificent beaches of the Camel Estuary, Sleepy Fox provides warm and cosy accommodation all year round with double glazing and ground source under floor heating.

Situated at the end of a narrow country lane, the property is entered from the parking area where a couple of railed steps lead down to the low front doorway which opens directly into a delightful living room with a slate floor. There is a pleasant dining area, French doors opening to the garden, and comfortable leather lounge seating is arranged before a wood burning stove and a floor to ceiling window with views of lush rolling countryside.

Two steps lead up from the dining area to a well equipped fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and high stools, and beyond to a wet room with shower, W.C and hand basin, and a utility room with laundry facilities and a stable door opening to the garden.

An oak staircase leads up from the living room to the first floor landing and two lovely bedrooms with a 5ft double and twin beds respectively; the former enjoying stunning countryside views from a large picture window. A bathroom W.C. with wash basin and bath with hand shower attachment completes the accommodation. The enclosed grassy garden has a raised terrace to take full advantage of the restful views, and visitors are encouraged to make use of the adjoining paddock particularly for exercising dogs.

There is parking for two cars and a trailer within the walled and gated shared courtyard and the owner can offer grazing for horses by prior arrangement. There are fishing rights on a stretch of the De Lank River nearby, a tributary of the River Camel, and pony trekking is available at riding stables in St Breward.

The village of Blisland, less than half a mile away, has a beautiful church, local store/P.O. and a traditional pub, all facing the village green, and the moorland village of St Breward, 3 miles, is home to the 11th century Old Inn which offers good food. For a wider selection of amenities, Bodmin is 5 miles and Wadebridge 8 miles, both with sports centres and cycle hire shops. The immediate area abounds in country walks and bridal ways, in particular to Jubilee Rock, a massive volcanic rock, possibly the oldest on the moor, and the North and South coasts are almost equidistant, Polzeath being the nearest about a half hour drive.

Accommodation overview: Perfectly positioned in a quiet setting on the edge of Bodmin Moor, this traditional stone detached barn conversion sits within a peaceful rural valley and is perfectly situated for those who wish to get away from it all.  Accessed via a long driveway, the property is set to one side of the owners stone farmhouse and within an area of outstanding natural beauty which offers an ideal rural retreat. 

With parking adjacent to the property, a stone footpath leads the front door which opens into a warm and cosy dining room, with a large a wood burning stove that warms the whole house. To one side of the dining room an open archway leads into the well equipped kitchen and to the other side of the dining room an archway leads into a spacious living room with comfortable lounge seating, large flat screen television, character vaulted ceiling and panoramic windows providing views across the garden and valley beyond.

A door leads from the sitting room into a sun room, which houses a wonderful sauna as well as the equipment that’s required for the garden and swimming pool. A perfect place to leave coats, flip flops or wellies. On one side a doorway leads into a downstairs separate shower room with steam shower, WC and basin. The French windows from the sun room lead directly onto the patio, with large swimming pool heated via solar panels. The patio also leads round to a large private hot tub, garden chairs and loungers.

A small gate from the patio leads into a garden where fish like to swim in the character ponds with rockery and plants. A large wooden table and chairs, parasol and BBQ sit alongside the ponds and are available to share with the owners next door.

To access the bedrooms, an inner hallway leads from the kitchen and provides a carpeted staircase which leads to the first floor with three separate bedrooms. Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with miniature hip-bath, shower over, WC and basin. One twin bedroom with additional single captain’s bed with pull out bed beneath.

Locally there are many excellent walks, fishing, golf and pony trekking available, and a network of graded cycle trails through the ancient Cardinham Woods close by, as featured on BBC Countryfile. The old county town of Bodmin with a selection of shops, pubs, leisure centre, golf club and Steam Railway is about a 20 minute drive as is Lanhydrock House and Gardens. The village of Blisland, 5 miles, has a local store/P.O. and traditional pub facing the village.

The beautiful beaches and fishing villages of the north and south coasts are within a 40 minute drive and there are many glorious gardens and visitor attractions such as the Eden Project within easy reach. Water sports and fishing are available at Siblyback Lake nearby.  A real bonus for this peaceful rural location is the easy road access to both A roads providing an ideal base for exploring the whole of the county.

The nearest sandy beach is half a mile away and there are a couple of golf courses within a one mile radius. St Ives, 1.5 miles, is home to the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum, and there is also a leisure centre with swimming pool and boat trips available from the quayside. The South West Coast Path is nearby and provides some stunning scenery as does the circular coastal road from St Ives to Penzance via Lands End.

Set on a former flower farm, the property was originally where the anemones were stored and graded prior going to market and now offers couples a peaceful rural retreat, ideally located for exploring the countryside and coast of West Cornwall

Approached down a long unmade drive, a gently sloping concrete path leads up to the front door which opens to a sunny entrance porch and an inner door leading directly into the small open-plan living room with solid oak flooring.  With simple and fresh décor, the accommodation comprises of cottage style lounge seating, a compact dining suite and a neatly fitted galley kitchen in one corner. 

Leading off to one side is the double bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and restful views.  From the kitchen area at the rear, a door and one step leads up to a useful utility room with laundry facilities and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and shower cubicle. 

Peacefully situated and ideal for bird watching, visitors have the sole use of a sheltered garden at the front of the property adjacent to the parking area and are also welcome to explore the owners country garden to the rear.  Guests with pets are requested to supervise them at all times as the surrounding fields may contain livestock.  A first floor studio is self contained and permanently occupied. 

The nearby village of Heamoor, half a mile, has a general shop, bakery, pub and local bus service and the beautiful gardens of Trengwainton, Trereife and Trewidden are all within easy reach.  Penzance is just a 5 minute drive away where there is a wide selection of amenities including an open air bathing pool, Cornwall’s only promenade and there are also regular sea links to the Isles of Scilly

Newlyn, Mousehole and Marazion, home to the majestic island castle of St Michael's Mount, are all within a 15 minute drive; St Ives is 20 minutes and just 5 miles from the rugged cliffs at Zennor on the North Coast.  Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, there are a wealth of crystal clear waters and award winning beaches, ancient moorland and sub-tropical gardens, secluded coves and cliff-top walks making this a truly delightful area to visit.
