Accommodation overview: A detached older style bungalow with superb sea views. Set in a cliffside garden looking across the cove of Portmellon and beyond to the far side of St Austell Bay and along the coast for several miles.

Tucked below a lane that leads to Chapel Point cove (with a detached garage and space for an additional car at lane level), a gate and path with three steps down leads to a fence and second gate into the garden immediately adjoining the bungalow. The front door leads through a sun room into a pleasant sitting / dining room with superb sea views from the window. The adjacent kitchen "borrows" the views through a wide hatchway.

A small hallway to one side of the sitting room gives access to a bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and a shower over the bath, a twin bedded room with sea views and a double bedroom with a 5' kingsize bed which has direct access to a utility area with sink, a W.C. and a shower room with hand basin.

From the sitting room a covered verandah leads through a stable door to one of the lawned areas of the garden which is on several levels and not suitable for unsupervised young children since it is not fenced on the seaward side. There is a detached garage and space for an additional car at lane level. Portmellon has safe bathing and a seasonal pub and the shops, pubs, restaurants and harbour at Mevagissey are half a mile.

Entered from the shared driveway where there is parking for one small car per property, a sloping lane leads up to the front door which opens beneath a porch roof into an entrance hallway with a coats area. To the left is a spacious double bedroom with lovely sea views, an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, and to the right of the hall a door leads through to a newly fitted kitchen with New England style units and a breakfast bar with high stools. On the far side is a light and airy twin bedded room with dual aspect windows overlooking the sea and coastline.

From the breakfast area, two steps lead down to a bright and sunny living room with stripped wood flooring, an exposed granite wall, comfortable seating and a pine dining suite, all of which have panoramic views of the sea and St Michaels Mount from five large windows. In one corner of the room, a glazed door opens out to a small timber balcony with balustrade and glorious sea views.

The village is less than five minutes walk with a selection of small shops, restaurants and pubs and directly opposite the cottage is a public footpath with steps leading down to the rockpools below with a stoney beach and children's sea water bathing pool revealed at low tide. Newlyn and Marazion are only a short drive and can be reached by hoppa bus if preferred, and Penzance, 3 miles, is the gateway to the Isles of Scilly.

Accommodation overview: With panoramic sea views overlooking Port Isaac Bay from the first floor inverted accommodation, this spacious and detached, double glazed family house stands in its own extensive garden with the added bonus of ample on-site parking for three cars. Offering warm and comfortable year round accommodation, the property is set at the top of the fishing village of Port Isaac on the spectacular north coast, just a fifteen minute walk down the hill to the historic harbour and also the quiet cove at Port Gaverne.

Approached by a gated gravel driveway that leads through the mature sheltered garden on the landward side, five steps lead down to the house. The front door opens to a freshly renovated entrance hallway with coat pegs. Leading off to one side are a family bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and two bedrooms, a twin bedded room and one with 3ft bunk beds and an additional single bed.

At the rear, a fully fitted kitchen/dining room have two windows that look seawards and there is an adjacent utility room with laundry facilities and storage space for beach gear. To complete the ground floor accommodation, on the opposite side of the hall there is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room W.C. and hand basin with optional access by day from the utility room.

Saving the best to last, carpeted open tread stairs lead directly up to the first floor where there is a very light and spacious sitting room with comfortable lounge seating enjoying magnificent views from picture windows that look over the garden and far out to sea. At one end of the lounge is a dressing room which leads through to the delightful master bedroom with a double bed, hand basin and lovely views from full length patio doors opening to a railed balcony looking directly across Port Isaac Bay.

A door opens from the utility room to the rear garden on the seaward side with a large level lawn bounded by Cornish hedge and a barbecue area which looks down towards the small stoney beach at Port Gaverne. There is a grocery store and village play area for children close by and a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants at the bottom of the steep hill about half a mile away next to the attractive harbour and old fishing village.

The Fisherman's Friends Sea Shanty Singers can usually be heard singing on Friday evenings throughout the summer on the quayside in Port Isaac. For a wider choice of amenities the market town of Wadebridge is about 9 miles. Port Isaac and Port Gaverne have small stoney beaches with sand at low tide and the glorious sandy beaches on the Camel Estuary, including Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock are all approximately a 15 minute drive. The dramatic South West Coast Path offers spectacular scenery, watersports are available locally and there are three golf courses within easy reach.

The apartment is fronted by a small paved sitting out area where you can delight in all the sights and sounds of the sea and harbour with views of St Michaels Mount, and there is one designated car space in the adjoining parking area.

Set at the seaward end of this old fashioned street, with a couple of nautical pubs steeped in history just a short stroll away, the town has an extensive range of shops and restaurants close by as well as being the rail terminus for the West.

The nearby promenade in Penzance stretches along the shoreline from the busy harbour around to the fishing village of Newlyn providing a lovely 1.5 mile level walk, and there are daily ferry services nearby operating to the Isles of Scilly.

Accommodation overview: Within a short drive of five all-year dog friendly beaches and less than a mile by country lane from Caerhays Castle and the south facing sandy cove at Porthluney, this attractive semi-detached stone cottage enjoys tranquil countryside views from every window.  Set in a small row of pretty character cottages built in the early 1900’s as part of the Caerhays Estate, Doodles offers spacious family accommodation in the peaceful hamlet of Tregavarras.

Fronted by a little walled and gated patio area, the front door set beneath a covered porch way opens to the entrance hall with coat pegs and a slate flag stone floor.  To one side, a dual aspect sitting/dining room spans the length of the cottage with comfortable lounge seating arranged before the Victorian fireplace, a warm rug on the slate floor, and a charming dining area at the rear. 

The remainder of the ground floor accommodation comprises a shower room W.C. with hand basin and a fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room at the rear with two windows enjoying views over the valley.  Carpeted stairs lead up from the hall to the first floor landing where there is a delightful bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and roll top bath with hand shower attachment, and two bedrooms with lovely views over unspoilt fields.  There is a bedroom at the rear with a 5ft double bed and the master bedroom at the front has a 6ft double; zip linked which can be separated into twin beds

A half glazed door from the kitchen leads out to a large decked terrace which catches the afternoon sun and from here, steps lead down to a sloping hillside garden with a fully enclosed lawn and mature shrubs. At the bottom of the garden, a gate opens to a rough area of grass bordered by a trickling stream.  A utility room accessed from the decking area provides a useful laundry area with dog wash facilityParking for one car is available in a garage about 20 yards from the property and a second car can be parked opposite. 

Gorran
, just under 2 miles by road, has a church, village store/P.O. and pub featured in TV’s Wycliffe and the un-commercialised small beaches at Porthluney, Hemmick and Vault are less than a 10 minute drive.  The attractive sandy beach at Gorran Haven is 3 miles, Mevagissey has a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and boat trips from the harbour about 4 miles away and for a wider selection of amenities the town of St Austell is 9 miles.  There are local walks leading to the village of Gorran and the South West Coast Path at Porthluney beach and for garden lovers, Caerhays Castle, famed for its Camellias, the Lost Gardens of Heligan (2 miles) and the Eden Project are all within easy reach.

Accommodation overview: Nestling in a wooded valley just a quarter of a mile down the hill to the banks of Pont Pill, a tidal creek of the River Fowey, this attractive, freshly renovated semi-detached cottage stands in a quiet elevated position to one side of a tree shaded country lane.   Surrounded by peaceful National Trust countryside, Cuckoo Tor offers a wealth of woodland and coastal walks nearby including the Hall Walk with stunning views of the estuary and the nearest south coast beaches are only a couple of miles away.  

Set on rising ground, the property is entered via a couple of gated steps that lead up to a small paved sun terrace overlooking the tree covered banks.  From here the fully glazed front door opens into a charming and cosy living room with a painted beam ceiling, a dining suite and comfortable seating arranged before the fireplace.  A well equipped fully fitted kitchen is partly divided off from the living/dining area with shaker style units and the original slate flagstones. 

A carpeted staircase leads directly up from the lounge to a light landing where there area bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower over the bath and two pretty cottage style bedrooms with a 5ft double and twin beds respectively.  Both bedrooms have pleasant woodland views.  To one side of the cottage, a sunny patio garden reached by a flight of a dozen stone steps has garden furniture and views of the wooded valley.  Young children and pets will require supervision in the garden.  There is a parking space for up to two cars in a lay-by opposite the property. 

The Old Ferry Inn at Bodinnick offers a wide range of meals, less than 2 miles away,where there is also a car ferry operating to Fowey which has a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and a small beach at Readymoney Cove with a delightful rock carved paddling pool.  Polruan, also less than 2 miles, has a few local shops and two pubs on the quayside next to the passenger ferry running across the river to Fowey.  Both villages are readily accessible via glorious creek-side walks.  The South West Coast Path and the quiet sandy coves at Lantic Bay and Lantivet Bay are just 10 minutes by car and The Eden Project is about a 30 minute drive.

Two steps lead up to the front door which opens to a hallway and to one side is a comfortably furnished sitting/dining room with panoramic sea views, a warm rug on the wooden floor, multi fuel stove set in the small hearth and a sofa bed for alternative sleeping arrangements.

At the rear of the living room, a door leads through to a neat kitchen with modern fitted units and beyond is a fully tiled wet room with W.C. hand basin and walk in shower area. On the opposite side of the entrance hall is a bright and spacious bedroom with a 5ft double bed and magnificent sea and coastal views. Accessed via the master bedroom and also from the garden, a door and one step leads up to the second bedroom at the rear of the house with two single beds, an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin and wide shower cubicle, and a patio door leading out to a small lawn for the exclusive use of the visitors.

Young children and pets will require supervision outside as the grounds are not enclosed. There is visitor parking for two cars on site and all the village amenities, including a shop/P.O., pub overlooking the beach, coffee shop and restaurant, are just a couple of minutes walk down the hill.

There is easy access onto the sand and shingle beach with rock pools just 150 yards away, and the twin village of Seaton, one mile along the coast has a large sandy beach located at the bottom of the beautiful Seaton Valley. Both beaches are currently all year dog friendly beaches. A community bus service operates within the local area, there are several golf courses nearby and the attractive fishing harbour at Looe is about 8 miles away. At 'Bake Lakes' less than 2 miles away there is an opportunity to do fly fishing.

Double fronted, the property offers spacious family accommodation arranged on three floors with high ceilings, sash windows and some of the original wooden window shutters.

Approached from the narrow lane, a neat path leads through the walled and gated garden with a small lawn to the front entrance porch and from there into a central hallway with reception rooms on either side. To the left is a comfortable sitting room with lounge seating for five arranged before the fireplace, and an inter connecting day room with a piano, seating for four and French Windows opening to a sheltered sunken garden with outdoor seating.

On the opposite side of the hall, there is a second sitting room with comfortable seating for five set before the open fire and a spacious kitchen / dining room at the rear with shaker style fitted units and a large bay window overlooking the Georgian sunken garden. In one corner of the kitchen, four unrailed steps lead up to a rear lobby with space for beachgear and a back door opens to a walled and gated gravel terrace and parking area for two cars.

Stairs from the main hallway lead down to the lower ground floor where there are a coats area and a utility room with W.C., shower cubicle, Belfast sink and laundry facilities. The first floor accommodation comprises of five pleasant bedrooms and a family bathroom W.C. with wash basin, shower cubicle and a bath with hand shower attachment.

There are two double bedrooms at the rear of the property, one with a double bed and the other with a 6ft bed; and three front facing bedrooms with oblique sea views over the rooftops and with a 5ft bed, a single, and twin beds respectively. There is parking available for 2 cars.

The attractive town centre with an extensive range of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars are within a quarter of a mile, as is the bus and railway station in the town. A daily ferry service also operate from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly. A lovely level promenade and the Jubilee open air bathing pools are less than a mile away and Marazion, 2 miles, has beautiful sandy beaches and a causeway leading to St Michaels Mount. The picturesque villages of Newlyn and Mousehole are just a short drive away.

Accommodation overview: A single storey detached barn within the grounds of Treligga Farm Cottages, slightly set apart from the main courtyard yet within easy reach via a gated path. The cottage was once a stable housing the pony which pulled the family in their trap to market, but now offers warm and cosy, double glazed accommodation all year round.

The front door leads through a small sunroom into a pretty beamed living room with partial sea views, a fitted kitchen area, comfortable seating and dining space.
