Accommodation overview: This converted sandstone barn is full of character, with large arched doorways, beamed ceilings and feature stone walls. The Granary is situated in the tiny hamlet of Scalehouses, which consists of a farm and 2 or 3 houses, between the pretty villages of Croglin and Renwick in the Eden valley. This tranquil area of Cumbria is completely unspoilt by tourists and although it does not have the drama of the Lakes the countryside is equally impressive, but without the crowds. It lies on the edge of the Pennine hills on the Coast to Coast cycle route and is perfect for walking, cycling, pony trekking, riding and canoeing.
