Situated in the village of Lamplugh in a wonderful rural location 6 miles south of Cockermouth, it is close to Loweswater, Ennerdale Water and Crummock Water. This peaceful non-commercialised area of the Lake District is the perfect setting for a romantic break. Fishing is available locally at Cogra Moss, which is within walking distance and there are many other beautiful walks locally. The Coast to Coast cycle route goes past the front door and the award winning Kirkstile Inn is close by for bar meals. Cockermouth is well worth a visit, with shops, restaurants, Brewery Tours and the Lakeland Sheep and Wool centre to name a few of the attractions. Trotters Animal World is a mere 20 minute drive and the seaside town of St Bees is a similar distance.

Morland lies 8 miles south east of the market town of Penrith, where you will find a wide range of amenities and 8 miles west of Appleby. Accommodation overview: Sedbergh is set to the West of the Yorkshire Dales National Park but is also close to the eastern fells of the Lake District, only 30 minutes drive from Windermere and is therefore ideal for exploring both areas of unspoilt and protected countryside. Sedbergh has a variety of narrow lanes and small clusters of old buildings including a 12th century Norman church (restored in 1886) and, overlooking the town, is the site of Castlehaw, an ancient motte and bailey castle. The location of Carhullan, two miles from the village of Bampton and eight miles from Penrith is a perfect peaceful retreat, yet only 15 minutes from the M6. It is accessed along a no through road where it is situated at the very end, approximately two miles. There are walks from the doorstep, over High Street to Ullswater and across Bampton Common to Haweswater.
