Accommodation overview: Broughton-in-Furness is well situated a few miles west of nearby Coniston, is becoming a favoured destination for the more discerning visitor, who appreciate its tranquil charm and acknowledge it as part of the Undiscovered Lakeland. Coniston and the wonderful surrounding fell ranges and lakes can be explored along with the nearby River Duddon immortalised by Wordsworth as one of the most scenic rivers in England.Embraced by this beautiful countryside, Broughton is becoming increasingly popular being well located, not far from the busier towns of Ambleside and Windermere; there are some excellent beeches nearby to the west, and to the south Ulverston is a vibrant larger town.
