The area is great for walking with easy access to the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and Pennine Hills. Local attractions include a swimming pool at Appleby, Acorn Bank Gardens, Ostrich Farm and Center Parcs at which you can buy daily tickets. Appleby of course is famous for its horse fair in June.
