The sand and shingle beach stretches for miles, along to Silloth, Allonby and Maryport and forms part of the Cumbrian Coastal Way. The Lake District National Park is within 30 minutes drive as is the Historic City of Carlisle. The seafaring towns of Whitehaven and Maryport are a must to visit with their attractive harbours and various tourist attractions. Skinburness adjoins the Victorian seaside town of Silloth, still retaining its original cobbled streets and famous for its highly rated Links Golf Course.
