The interior is beautifully appointed with excellent quality furnishings and appliances. Margaret House is situated in the popular lakeland village of Pooley Bridge, at the northern end of Ullswater, which has added advantage of easy access from the M6. In the village you will find pubs serving meals, cafes, shops and the Ullswater Steamers sail regularly around the lake. Accommodation overview: This former Cumbrian farmhouse enjoys a spectacular remote location, high up on Bampton Common among the Lake Districts eastern fells and close to Ullswater and Haweswater. Carhullan was completely modernised in 2008 by the owners, who retained the character of the property and complemented it with furnishings and equipment of the highest quality. The location of Carhullan, two miles from the village of Bampton and eight miles from Penrith is a perfect peaceful retreat, yet only 15 minutes from the M6. It is accessed along a no through road where it is situated at the very end, approximately two miles. There are walks from the doorstep, over High Street to Ullswater and across Bampton Common to Haweswater. Bampton has a village tea room with shop and the Mardale Inn serves good food and real ale.

Old Corner Barn has a spacious open plan living area on the first floor and bedrooms on the ground floor, while The Stables is ground floor accommodation suitable for the disabled, with wheelchair access and a wet room. The owners have furnished and equipped them to a high standard to provide superior self catering accommodation. Greenah Crag is situated close to Troutbeck, between Keswick and Penrith in a lovely rural location, yet only 10 minute drive from the M6. This central location is ideal, with Ullswater to the South, Keswick to the East and the Caldbeck Fells to the North, all are within a 20 minute drive and offer beautiful scenery and great walks.
