Brancaster and neighbouring Brancaster Staithe are lovely coastal villages, which have much to offer, making them ideal holiday locations at any time of the year. There is a wonderful sandy beach, numerous coastal and countryside walks, a golf course, a tennis court and excellent sailing from Brancaster Staithe. There are three well known pubs The Jolly Sailors, The Ship and The White Horse within the two villages which serve food, or you can buy locally caught sea food. The lovely village of Burnham Market is just a short drive away with its excellent range of shops, restaurants and pubs. The area abounds with numerous opportunities for bird watchers with the RSPB reserve at Titchwell two miles away, which can be reached on foot along the coast path. Boat trips to Scolt Head and sailing are available at Brancaster Staithe.

The Coach House is a delightful conversion that was originally part of the North Wing of Brancaster House. With the focus on traditional craftsmanship and materials, this is a very attractive cottage in one of the most well-known villages on the North Norfolk coast. The Norfolk Coast path is 400 yards away and the fabulous sandy beach and Royal West Norfolk Golf Club a mile away. The Ship Inn, an excellent gastro-pub, children's playground, plus tennis court and small village shop are all close by and the Coast Hopper bus service stops 50 yards from the house. The neighbouring villages of Burnham Deepdale and Thornham have more extensive food stores and each has a very good cafe serving food all day. A great location for a holiday. Shop/Pub: 0.25 miles

Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk, famous for its red and white lighthouse. It offers visitors a quiet, rural location, sandy beaches and cliff-top walks. The village has a post office/store and a traditional coaching inn and is within a 15-minute drive of the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and many other tourist attractions.

In past years, Church Farm has been a favoured holiday location for famous artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, keen to relax in a rural idyll. The large grain barn and stables have been sympathetically converted to retain character and create four beautiful cottages, which all have exposed flint walls and old beams. There is a large recreation barn (9am-8pm) offering a racket sports area, a pool table, table tennis table and a comfortable seating area with books and games. Each cottage has its own door allowing access directly into the recreation barn. Shop/Pub: 0.25 miles

Typically suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.

The beamed door opening in Nicholson Cottage where empty grain wagons left the main barn makes an interesting feature in the open-plan living area. Exposed flint walls, beams and artwork by the painter Ben Nicholson give added character to each room. The cottage is on one level and has an enclosed patio and garden area with gas barbecue, rotary dryer and outside furniture.
