A steepish lane leads down to the beach where at low tide there is a wide expanse of flat sand perfect for sandcastles or ball games. The beach is backed by high cliffs and there are paths into Cromer or the neighbouring village of West Runton. Away from the coast is a cluster of traditional brick and flint cottages, and an attractive green and duck pond.
