Hunstanton is a popular traditional seaside town, with a long sandy beach backed by distinctive striped cliffs. There are reminders of its Victorian origins including the promenade, the large green and the attractive esplanade gardens. Hunstanton town offers a host of activities for the family including a Sea Life Centre, a fun fair, tennis courts, bowling green and a sports and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, crazy golf and pitch & putt course. The Bittern and national rail line are accessible from the village and from here you can access Norwich, Sheringham and Cromer and enjoy the opportunity of leaving the car behind. The village has excellent eating places as well as a cafe, butchers, green grocers, newsagents, a small super market and is also close to The Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary. Hurlingham House is a handsome Victorian house, just a fifteen minute walk from the sea. It is well set back from the road, overlooking the common, which has a small stream.
