Erpingham is a peaceful rural village set between the seaside resort of Cromer and the traditional market town of Aylsham with its good selection of shops and pubs. The National Trust property, Blickling Hall, is nearby and well worth a visit. It is perfect for a relaxing break but also a good base for exploring the many attractions of Norfolk including the North Norfolk Coast, the Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich. A network of small lanes lead to some delightful discoveries for walkers and cyclists. There is a swimming pool available for hire within one mile and riding stables on the common. Alby Crafts is a very good craft centre just outside the village. Swallow Barn is a spacious single storey property attached to the owners' home and surrounded by peaceful countryside. It is an ideal location for a relaxing break, with excellent walking, cycling and bird watching in the area. The coastal town of Sheringham is just six miles away and there are numerous places to visit close by. There is a shop and public house one and a half miles away and further wonderful shops, pubs and restaurants are to be found in Holt and Aylsham, which are five miles away.
The following three properties (424, 425, 426) have been converted from outbuildings in the grounds of the owner's home. They provide comfortable accommodation and are in a lovely peaceful position with views across farmland. The owners also have provision for a maximum of five touring caravans to be accommodated in the adjoining field - this area is screened from the cottages and in no way detracts from their peaceful situation.
