East and West Rudham villages flow into each other and are situated in a very pretty area of West Norfolk. The market town of Fakenham has an excellent market on a Thursday and a visit to the auction rooms on the same day, can be very educational! Docking is a well located North Norfolk village surrounded by unspoilt countryside, providing easy access to the area's country and coastal attractions. It is four miles from the splendid sandy beach at Brancaster with the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton seven miles away. The beaches at Heacham, Holme, Holkham and Wells harbour are all nearby and there are also many bird reserves in the area. The village has a large general store, a pub, a fish and chip shop and a cafe. There is also a large playing field with a tennis court. .
