Built in the 19th century as a Baptist Chapel and Manse, this lovely conversion is at the heart of the village and enjoys a south facing garden leading to a one and a half acre paddock bordered by a stream. Hidden on the chapel side of the building, which is the owners own occasionally used holiday home is a small plot of headstones. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. Situated within a few minutes' walk of all the amenities of this delightful coastal village including choice of shops, restaurants, pubs, tennis courts, bowling green and cinema close by. Breathtaking coastal and country walks are easily accessible, with abundant wildlife including wild goats in the Valley of the Rocks, and red deer and Exmoor ponies in the surrounding countryside. The historic funicular cliff railway connects Lynton and its twin village of Lynmouth with its delightful harbour, gardens, shingle and rock beaches. First class location for walking, fishing, bird watching or riding in surrounding National Trust and Exmoor countryside. Many famous beauty spots are also easily accessible including Heddon Valley, Watersmeet and the Doone Valley.

The accommodation was completely refurbished for the 2010 season and is equipped and furnished to high standards throughout including central heating and double glazing. Two attractive bedrooms - spacious double bedded with lovely views across the village to Exmoor hillsides, and single bedded with good quality pull out additional single. Fully tiled and newly fitted bathroom with shower over bath and separate wc. Very comfortable and attractive good sized living/dining room with wood burner in feature fireplace, rug on laminate flooring, TV, DVD, CD/radio, dining suite and hillside views. New fully fitted, high quality kitchen with tiled floor, electric cooker + extractor, microwave, fridge and utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Small, elevated rear patio garden (10 steps) with garden furniture. Free on-road parking close by, with some restrictions during the main season, parking permit provided for car park (300 yards). Access to cottage via 50 yd pathway.
