Entered through a gated paved driveway where there is ample room for parking, the front door opens to a lobby with an adjacent cloakroom W.C. and hand basin. An inner glazed door opens directly into the kitchen/dining room with smart fitted units and a solid ash dining table with bench seats. To the left, a hallway leads to a utility area, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and a ground floor twin bedroom with a window overlooking the small terrace and flower beds to the front of the property.

On the opposite side of the kitchen is an attractive sitting room with beams rising up to the high ceiling and comfortable furniture facing two sets of French Windows. At the rear, four steps lead up to a galleried lower landing and a bedroom with a 5ft double bed and an en-suite shower room W.C. and vanity basin, and at the other end a solid ash minstrel staircase continues up to a small gallery for use as an additional sitting/reading area. An outhouse is available for secure undercover storage of bicycles (key on request).

The village pub is just a two minute walk and the shops and Cathedral in Truro are a 15 minute drive. Perranporth has a 3 mile stretch of flat golden beach and Trevaunance Cove near St Agnes offers extensive rock pools to explore. Approached from the large shared parking area a dozen railed steps lead up to a small sun terrace and the front door which opens to a lobby and a wide central hallway. The accommodation comprises a bright living/dining room with an electric log effect fire and huge picture windows to fully appreciate the waterside position, a modern fitted kitchen with a useful breakfast bar and stools, a newly refurbished bathroom W.C. with vanity basin, bidet and bath with hand shower fitment and an adjoining utility storage area.

There are three bedrooms, a master double with a 5ft bed enjoying lovely views of the creek, a twin bedded room with a newly refurbished ensuite W.C. hand basin and large walk-in enclosure with a shower, and a spacious room with a 4ft 6in double bed and a nice easy chair next to the window overlooking the water. On the opposite side of the lane a gate opens to a small secluded garden which leads down to the waters edge with a flight of unrailed steps down to the actual foreshore (young children will require supervision).

It is possible to launch canoes and small dinghies from here subject to the tide and the owners may require occasional access to their boat mooring. A pleasant walk along the creekside leads to Devoran where there is the Old Quay Inn or a 3 minute drive in the opposite direction is the old thatched pub, The Punchbowl and Ladle. The National Trust gardens at Trelissick and the watersports centre at Loe Beach are within easy reach as is the King Harry Ferry for access to the beaches on the Roseland Peninsula.

Cycles can be hired for the Mineral Tramways Path to the north coast harbour of Portreath and local shops and post offices are a 5 minutes drive. With Truro only a few miles in one direction and Falmouth and Mylor in the other, Sunnyside is conveniently situated for beaches, boating and shopping.

Approached from a peaceful country lane, a gated path leads to the enclosed garden at the rear, where 3 granite steps lead up to a sheltered patio with sea views on the horizon over the Cornish hedge. Entered through a small porch with an inner door opening into a narrow L shaped kitchen with fitted units and a rustic dining area set beneath a wood panelled sloping ceiling.

A low doorway leads into the oldest part of the cottage and a small sitting room with a low board and beam ceiling, an oil fired stove which provides heating and hot water, and a sofa bed as a sleeping alternative.

Wooden stairs wind up in one corner of the room to a gallery bedroom with a 5ft bed, a cross beamed ceiling and slightly sloping natural floorboards. Beyond the bedroom is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, and views over the hamlet and surrounding countryside towards the sea. There is off road parking for one small car directly outside the front of the cottage.

The nearest shop and pub are at Delabole, about 2 miles away by road, but can also be reached by footpath across the fields. The attractive fishing village at Port Isaac and the sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary are within a 15 minute drive, and for a wider selection of amenities, the towns of Camelford and Wadebridge are about 20 minutes by car. Trebarwith Strand beach, 1.5 miles away on foot, and the dramatic North Coast cliff path and Tregardock beach can be reached via a walk across the fields.

Accommodation overview: Less than a mile from the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, this cosy and comfortable traditional end of terrace cottage is set to one side of the coastal road in the small hamlet of Trewetha, double glazed, yet retaining much of its original charm and character.  The quaint village of Port Isaac still has a little working harbour nestling in a narrow sheltered valley where there is a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants all just a 5 minute drive away. 

Approached by a couple of steps and gated footpath that lead down to the front entrance porch with space for coats and boots. An inner glazed door opens directly into a charming dining room with a low beamed ceiling and wood burning stove and to one side a door leads through to a warm and cosy beamed sitting room with lounge seating arranged before the open fireplace

At the rear, in an extension to the original cottage, a low doorway opens to a bright and cheerful kitchen and from here a door leads out to the generous sized country garden with a sheltered sun terrace and a couple of steps up to the lawn with a sandpit, swing and hedged border. 

A narrow carpeted staircase with quite low headroom leads up from the dining room to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom with hand basin and shower over the bath, a separate cloakroom W.C., and two pretty cottage-style bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed overlooking the attractive rear garden and the second smaller bedroom has two pine single beds. 

Young children and pets will requires supervision as there are slight changes in level in the cottage and the garden is only partially enclosed.  There is off road parking for two cars on the driveway, and space for a boat trailer if required. 

The small shingle beach at Port Gaverne is about a 5 minute drive and the glorious sandy beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock on the Camel Estuary are approximately 6 miles away.  For a good choice of amenities the market town of Wadebridge is about a 15 minute drive where bicycles can be hired to explore the Camel Trail and the immediate area also offers fine coastal walking.  There is a wide range of sports activities locally including fishing, surfing and sailing, three golf courses within easy reach and the Eden Project is about an hour’s drive.

Furnished to a high standard, this semi-detached double glazed former stable is set to one side of the owners 19th century barn in an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers comfortable accommodation for couples or small families wishing to explore West Cornwall. 

Approached by a long unmade track and gated gravel driveway where there is ample parking space, a side gate and path lead round to the rear of the property where there is a private and enclosed patio garden with a wooden sun deck and sheltered barbecue area.  The back door opens directly into a small lobby and to one side is a well equipped country kitchen with pine fitted units, a quarry tiled floor and tranquil views of the terrace. 

An open doorway leads through to a delightful warm and cosy sitting/dining room in a restful decor with a beamed ceiling open to the apex of the roof, deep piled rugs on the pine floor and comfortable leather seating facing the multi fuel stove.  An inner hallway gives access to two bedrooms both with exposed cross beams and views across the countryside towards the sea. 

There is an attractive double bedroom, and at the end of the hall, one step continues up to the modest sized second bedroom with two 3ft single beds.  To complete the accommodation, one step leads up to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, heated towel rail and shower over the bath.  Visitors are welcome to enjoy the adjacent grassy paddock with children’s play area and home to the owner’s ponies, rabbits and free range chickens. 

Pets are welcome but dogs will need to be kept under control as the surrounding fields are part of the St Aubyn Estate and may contain livestock.  There is an abundance of beautiful coastal paths and inland walks with breathtaking scenery close by and Lamorna Cove, which has a seasonal café, The Wink pub and a small sandy beach at low tide is just under 2 miles by road or a 15 minute walk by footpath. 

The historic fishing village of Mousehole can be reached in 10 minutes by car or a pleasant 30 minute walk across the fields and Penzance is a 15 minute drive with a wide selection of amenities including ferry services to The Isles of Scilly.  It is also an excellent base for exploring West Penwith with St Michael's Mount at Marazion, Porthcurno home to the Minack Theatre and the surfing beach at Sennen Cove all less than 10 miles respectively.

The lovely churchtown of Veryan, famous for its round houses is 1.5 miles and has a village store / P.O. and a traditional country pub offering food, and the south facing sandy beaches at Pendower and Carne are 2.5 miles.  The picturesque cove and tiny harbour of Portloe is 2 miles and St Mawes is a 20 minute drive, home to one of Henry VIII’s best preserved coastal fortresses and where a regular passenger ferry operates to the maritime town of Falmouth.
