Although staying true to its roots as a 400 year old farm building, its delightful transformation enjoys a unique use of the internal space. If you are looking for a completely secluded, romantic hide-away, which is only a 10 minute drive from the stunningly beautiful Cornish coastline at Porth, then this is the cottage for you. There are many other famous attractions to easily visit from Colan, including the Eden Project, maritime Falmouth, or city shopping in Truro. Entry to the barn is via the front garden patio area and huge floor to ceiling glass doors, into the spacious kitchen and dining area. Appledore has an abundance of unspoilt charm, its many fishermen's cottages tucked away in a maze of narrow cobbled pathways, and Corner Cottage, as you may expect, nestles in the corner between two similar cottages. Being in 'reverse style,' to take full advantage of the fabulous views, stairs lead to the cosy open plan first floor living room with the modern kitchen area to one end and comfortable seating area at the other. There is a bay window with French doors which when fully open create a balcony area inside the living room where you may sit and enjoy the panoramic views over the estuary. There are two bedrooms and a small bathroom on the ground floor; the double bedroom enjoys estuary views, and the small bunk bedded room is suitable for children under 11 years only. The pretty quayside with shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants is just a short stroll away. Corner Cottage is ideally suited for couples or young families seeking a good base from which to explore this beautiful area.
