Ash Cottage is a delightful 200 year old fishermans cottage which has recently been restored. The lounge, completely renovated in 2010 now has exposed stonework and a cosy wood burning stove, and offers stunning sea views from the dining table. The first floor bedroom is spacious and with views of the sea, and a guest area on the second floor has a day bed and an additional TV/DVD (but with a steep staircase and no stairgate- young children please be careful!) The twin room is accessed via the guest area. Bench seating to the rear overlooking the sea is perfect to enjoy at anytime of day and the sandy beach is a mere 5 minute walk away, as are the pubs serving food, shops, cafes and Staithes Heritage Centre and Captain Cook Museum where you may learn about the life and voyages of this famous seaman who spent some of his childhood as an apprentice in Staithes.
