If you want to travel slightly further the delightful coastal resorts of Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend are an ideal place to enjoy the seaside with some lovely golden sandy beaches, traditional inns and tearooms. The historic town of Whitby is only 12 miles away and is a must to sample its famous, delicious fish and chips. The Esk Valley train that stops off at Danby is an ideal way to observe and enjoy all the beautiful villages on the North York Moors.
