Accommodation overview: DETACHED STABLE CONVERSION SET ON 200 ACRE WORKING FARM WITH COWS, SHEEP A LARGE LAKE This stylish and well-converted stable provides welcoming, first class accommodation in this most beautiful part of Somerset. Ideally placed for exploring and discovering all the county has to offer, visitors will be spoilt for choice with much to see and do for all ages and tastes. Pretty towns and villages such as Bruton, a small town with alleyways that lead down to the River Brue, or Castle Cary with its small shops and museum. The cathedral city of Wells is a short drive, as is the Spa town of Bath. Attractions such as Stourhead House and gardens are a "must see", the immaculate gardens offer lots of interesting features such as temples, lakes, trees, a folly and shop. Cadbury Castle, where King Arthur and his knights are said to be buried and where you can wander 18 acres of iron age encampment, the village is worth a look too. Closer to home, Wincanton has a museum (open May - Sept) in the High Street and is filled with local history. For those looking for some excitement, take a short drive to Wincanton racecourse and enjoy the spectacle of steeple chasing, partake in a little flutter or just enjoy a drink. Guests will look forward to returning to their warm and comfortable retreat. The owners would welcome visitors to explore the farm by arrangement or wander down to the lake, even have a go at fishing (which is suited more to children/beginners as opposed to the keen angler) bring your own rod etc. In the evenings relax on the enclosed patio whilst the children play on the large lawn. The property is very spacious and would suit couples or families alike. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: situated on the lower ground floor and accessed down a few steps off the utility room is 1 twin with zip-and-link beds which could be a double on request with TV/DVD. 1king-size double, on the ground floor, with TV/DVD and having an en-suite shower room with WC. 1 further twin room on the first floor.
