Both these thatched cottages have been presented to a very high standard. They offer those wanting a quiet, pampered weekend a peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The cottages do have an adjoining door on the first floor should a small party want to visit the cottages, and each offer a secluded sitting-out area and looks out across a well-maintained shared garden. There are a further 20 acres of land to enjoy. The owner is a renowned breeder of American miniature horses. Located on the outskirts of the charming village of Roadwater where there is a shop and pub within walking distance, and the property is situated on the Coleridge Way. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor and many other places to visit to make a memorable holiday. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (NT), valley of the rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy a walk and an ice cream as well as having a good array of shops and other amenities. The house is now divided into three – Lowood forms the central part and Littlewood is a ground floor apartment with its own entrance to the right of the front door (the owners occupy one wing). Carriage driving is offered here and there is a small CC (5 vans) site in high season. Minehead with good shopping and famous Blue Anchor Bay is about 5 miles as are Dunster Castle the West Somerset Steam Railway and Watchet's picturesque harbour. Just a little further away visitors can explore the pretty village of Porlock Porlock Weir and its small harbour and the delightful resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth linked by a unique cliff railway. Pubs serving food and shop/P.O. about ½ mile.
