Accommodation overview: HOT TUB, CHILDRENS PLAYROOM, VILLAGE PUB NEARBY, COUNTRYSIDE VIEWS TO DARTMOOR, FREE-RANGE EGGS BY ARRANGEMENT This delightful house built in 2006 offers spacious accommodation in a village setting. You can walk or cycle along the nearby Tarka Trail or visit one of the sandy beaches along the North Devon coast. The nearby town of Torrington, known as the 'Cavalier Town' from the civil war of 1646 is well worth a visit. There you can watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal, pick up a few souvenirs in the show room, have a browse through the Edinburgh Woollen Mill outlet and perhaps finish off with a delicious cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. A short drive from Torrington are the beautiful gardens of RHS Rosemoor. The seaside town of Westward Ho! offers keen surfers, body boarders or bathers 2 miles of golden sands to enjoy. Wander into the traditional seaside town where you can enjoy fish and chips, an ice cream and a flutter in the amusement arcades. Alternatively, a couple of miles further on, wander along the bustling quayside and narrow streets of Appledore a small fishing village with a varied selection of pubs and restaurants almost all of which serve excellent food with fish being a speciality. Family theme parks are also very popular, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way both offer indoor and outdoor activities should the weather be wet. Other places which are worth a visit are Clovelly a unique cliffside fishing village with cobbled streets and a pretty harbour, the market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and quayside where you can sit and watch the world go by. If all of this sounds too energetic, why not sit and relax in the hot tub or the garden where you can enjoy a BBQ or take a stroll to the village pub, The Green Dragon, and have a quiet drink or a bite to eat. All in all, the cottage offers a peaceful retreat ideally placed to explore the whole of North Devon. Leisure facilities: hot tub. Lawn area with swings, see-saw, football nets and swing ball etc. Games room: air hockey table, dart board and a large selection of toys and games located in the garage. The stylish accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: all with pine furniture, 2 doubles (1 with TV) and 1 twin room with TV. Bathroom: family size with shower over bath and WC. Downstairs is an entrance hall with separate WC. Lounge: cosy with laminate wood flooring, brick feature fireplace, wood burner effect electric fire, large flat screen TV, Freeview, DVD, seating and a good selection of books and DVDs. Kitchen/diner: with well-fitted units and integrated appliances, fridge, dishwasher, electric cooker with double oven, ceramic hob, extractor hood, microwave, many extras and French doors leading to the patio. Utility room: a door from the kitchen/diner leads into the garage which has been converted to include a washing machine, tumble drier and freezer. Outside: French doors lead onto a sunny patio with hot tub, BBQ, garden furniture, which leads down to the lawn. The property can be enclosed by a five-bar gate at the front. Amenities: parking for 3/4 vehicles. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included, from October to April inclusive a winter surcharge of £25 per week is payable to the caretaker on arrival. 1 small dog welcome.
