Accommodation overview: Said to have the mildest climate in Britain the village of Flushing (right photograph) owes its name to its Dutch founders and its narrow streets still retain a distinctly Dutch flavour as well as several Queen Anne houses. One of a row this simply furnished cottage is just a minute's walk from the pub and shop and ½ mile to the beach. A ferry crosses the river to Falmouth with its sandy beach shops restaurants new Maritime Museum and cruises up river to the city of Truro (9 miles by car). Sailing school 2 miles. Famous gardens along Helford river nearby.

Accommodation overview: QUAINT VILLAGE LOCATION WITH HARBOUR VIEWS Nestling in the historic coastal village of Flushing, this refurbished terraced house is ideally positioned for a relaxing getaway. The master bedroom and lounge has views of the picturesque walled harbour and beyond to bustling Falmouth with its shops, pubs, galleries and restaurants. In the village visit the two pubs serving good food (one of which is situated adjacent) and recommended restaurant on the quay. From the quay, which is just a short stroll, you can catch the regular passenger ferry to Falmouth to visit the popular Maritime Museum and harbour, which is the third largest in the world! In the evenings enjoy watching the resident swans and ducks on the slipway and absorb the vista from the balcony of the master bedroom. Alternatively, an enclosed courtyard at the back of the house has seating and enjoys the morning sun. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 master double with balcony and seating and 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom: separate power shower and WC. Lounge/diner: located downstairs, open-plan area with TV, DVD, hi-fi and open fire (first basket of logs included). Kitchen: with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: from the kitchen you can access the small courtyard with seating, BBQ and space for bikes etc if needed. Amenities: roadside parking can usually be found nearby or the village car park is a short stroll. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. 2 dogs welcome. Location: the village shop and pub are within walking distance, the small sandy cove of Trefusis can also be reached on foot and is an easy walk.
