For walkers there is an unrivalled network of footpaths and bridleways through woodlands and pasture, much enjoyed by ramblers and dog walkers (nearest footpath just 100 yards away). It is 5 miles to Shaftesbury and a 40-minute drive to Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch. Salisbury is 20 miles. Salisbury Plain and the Savernake Forest are perfect for walking and cycling. Easily reached are Bath, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Longleat and Wilton House. Shop 20 yards, pub 400 yards. Beamed living/dining room with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace.
